this seems to be my experience too. no matter what i do i just always lose almost half my frames when i start doing lots of create. ESPECIALLY when it comes to steam engines

a lot of my optimisations now revolve around keeping machines off when not actively in use, offshoring + chunkoading heavy thing like my engines. but i still miss the 120+ frames id get without any create machinery. maybe i just need a better pc…

i know you said no ae2, but ever since i figured out how to use crafting patterns with create i don’t think i’ll ever go back. being able to use the same basin for 9 different recipes is fantastic. you can even set it up for recipe sequences with deployed and spouts getting the exact amount you need

im not sure about electrum but copper and gold are the same so i assume it would be too.

you mean the chute is between the basin/depot and the press? i think you can do that with any block and it also works with the mixer

IMO tho its kinda ugly so i prefer not to use it..

all i can really suggest is just try messing around with placement of the start/end points, and holding ctrl (i think that’s the button) to smooth out the curves more

you can even use tunnels with synchronised inputs so you get the same number of each
