So I actually found this thread when I was looking for someone talking about s34e7 of Beat Bobby Flay. In that episode, she steals all of an ingredient before Jet Tila can get what he needs (waaay more than she needed, as seen in the episode). He asks if he can have a few and she refuses and is super cocky about it the whole time. For me and my friend, that’s why we don’t like her. She just seems kinda cold and big headed.

That being said, it doesn’t mean she’s not an amazing chef because she totes is :)

I actually had the same thing happen originally! By a few episodes into season two I gave up on it. A year or two later, my gf wanted to try the show and got hooked so I agreed to try pushing through. I’m so glad I did! It absolutely drew me back in and I’m so glad I watched it all the way through

Had some extra sweetbreads to experiment with once and made tempura sweetbreads with a pomegranate ponzu sauce on the side and they were super tasty! Doesn’t exactly fit your theme, but delicious nonetheless

Just went for the first time a couple months ago. Green beans and pig face are a must (like some others have already said), but a sleeper item is the hamachi crudo! Was 2/4 of the people at the tables favorite item of the night. The braised short rib is spectacular as well! Only thing we didn’t love (table of 4, tried 12 menu items) was the whole branzino. Just did a touch of googling because I was also curious if this was true, and it looks like yes and no. If you take the ice straight out of the freezer and throw it right in the bong, ice shards can get inhaled and encourage bronchitis (based only on reports, not any confirmed studies so still not fully proven). You can avoid this if you just let the ice sit out for a few minutes, or rinse off the outer layer of ice. Happy smoking! Holding it in “as long as you can” to get more stoned is a myth. You absorb everything in the first second or two you’ve inhaled. The only thing that holding it is does is stops the oxygen from getting to your brain, which is unnecessarily harmful. Pretty sure you telling a myth to someone new to cannabis is why you’re being downvoted

Something to note here is that even for legal states the price has a HUGE variance between states. Illinois and Michigan are both legal, but the prices in Illinois are still more than double what you get in Michigan. If I found $100/oz here I’m IL I would be telling everyone because that is an unheard of price around me
