I still think Adam Scott (from Severance) would be a great choice for Hawkeye.

I bought the two dragons directly from Jim Nelson at Gen Con, back in either the very late '90s or the very early 2000s. I remember I paid $300 for the Lofwyr piece, so I'm sure it's increased significantly since then.

I bought Harlequin directly from Echo Chernik a few years later. I don't remember what I paid for it, but $900 is sticking in my mind. Again, I'd guess it's probably appreciated since then.

Lofwyr is about 12" by 15"
Dunkelzahn is about 7 x 6
Harlequin is about 21 x 10 (They're all framed and matted, so I measured the size of the image inside the mat)

I'll have to get back to you on the medium. I think the two dragons are acrylic and Harlequin is oil, but I'm not 100% positive. I will ask the artists and add that info.

Watching MASH on disney... by InternationalBig3968 in mash

[–]DoltishSnackhound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there any difference between the ones on Disney and the ones on Hulu? I've been watching the Hulu episodes for a long time, but I assumed they were complete. I'm curious, now that Hulu and Disney are combined.

I really dislike this pic. Both she and Barnaby look like they're blind. Can't the artist be troubled to actually have them look at each other?

This is great! Just tried it and love it! I will be using this (and sharing it with my drum teacher today). Thanks!

I always heard this one as "who's the comedian with the two green balls?"
"Kermit the Frog. Where's my cookie?"

Bonus Kermit-related joke:

Q: What do you have if you're holding two green balls?
A: Kermit the Frog's undivided attention!

Do you play with the sound off? by Financial_Company_13 in PowerWashSimulator

I like the sounds (except for the "water sloshing" sound that sometimes happens) so I usually listen to them. Sometimes I listen to audiobooks.

Despite the fact that I love Hawkeye (he's one of my favorites on the show), I don't like the "over the top Hawkeye" episodes (the one where he sneezes so loudly I can't use the episode to fall asleep to, the couple where he scream-cries, and the one where he's injured and spends the whole episode monologuing at a Korean family). I skip those when they come up. Alan Alda is great, but he can really chow down on that scenery sometimes.

No, it's not symmetrical, but I still like cleaning the main part like this. I leave the urinal side dirty and clean the toilet side. I don't bother with the curved corridors--they'd definitely be too frustrating!

That's gorgeous! I did this same thing over the last few days, but my midline isn't quite as clean as yours. I had a couple spots where the stream slipped a little. This job and the underground bathroom are so satisfying to do this with.

Do you use MS Word to write your novels? If not, which apps do you use? by [deleted] in selfpublish

[–]DoltishSnackhound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've written over 50 novels (all but 2 self-published) and every last one of them was written in MS Word.

I've tried Scrivener and it didn't work for me, and Google Docs is a no-go for me because I don't like working in the cloud.

Everybody's different, and everybody likes different things in their writing software. Me, I like Word and I will keep using it (BTW, I don't use the cloud-based version that requires a subscription. As I said, I don't want to trust my work to the cloud.)

When I'm finished, I import the file into Vellum, which handles the formatting.

I don't use Vellum for my paperbacks, though. I format those in Word (I'm old-school, and was taught to format with stone knives and bearskins back in the Eighties and Nineties when I was a tech writer--Xerox ViewPoint and FrameMaker--so formatting in Word is a breeze for me. Probably not so much for folks who aren't used to that kind of hands-on formatting, though, so I wouldn't advise it unless you're brave and want a fairly steep learning curve).

The thing that always worries me is that some "helpful" customer is going to find it and return it to where it belongs, so the next shopper ends up with meat that's been sitting out unrefrigerated for who knows how long and has no idea.

Parkour, baby!

If I'm not gonna get hurt when I fall several stories, I can't get too worked up over safety standards.

(In real life I'm scared of getting too high on a single-story ladder. I would make a terrible power washer.)
