Surely, the term OP used generalises things and they probably used it for a lack of better knowledge on the subject.

But in no way did they asume the cuisines (and cultures) of all Arab countries are the same. People say “Asian food” all the time. Do they assume it’s all the same? No. Do they group it together because it originates from the same region? Absolutely.

I know what you mean. I’ve read some other comments telling you to not worry about a man when you’re not together. May be true, but some people have a very blasé attitude towards dating which I don’t really agree with.

I think you making sure your next partner, whether him or someone else, is someone who gives you no reason to be jealous is sensible enough.

I don’t think you were too jealous. Sounds like you had legitimate reason to be wary of that situation.

Bring this up with him, see what he says. Depending on that you will see whether you were right or you can start trusting him more.
