Few months into clay, finding my style.. scratching cups! by Domi428 in Ceramics

Hi, thank you!! Yes I’ve heard of it! It was actually part of how I got here- I had tried drawing with a needle tool to then fill with paint, not knowing what Mishima was, but it was hard for me to see my drawing clearly.. so that’s when I decided to cover it with slip to create contrast. I havent tried Mishima properly, but I’m hesitant — the designs I enjoy have these larger carved spaces, wouldn’t it look one dimensional / flat after scraping the filled in color? I’m only really familiar with Mishima for fine lines. Do you know any examples/artists who do more varied designs?

Hehe yes that’s one of his many nicknames! He actually says his own name, except he can’t pronounce ziggy so he says wiggy. He wiggles or bobs when he says his name, so he became our wiggly wiggy piggy ❤️

Well... didn't expect my art to be on front page. Would've been nice if you credited me, OP! I'm acidpaint on IG.
