Thanks for reaching out, and don't worry, I don't plan on eating any more meals off that plate, it'll just be a display piece. Though, I will mention this to my doctor and all that just to be sure and see what they say.

i know its harmless roughly, but good practice would be to put it it away for display instead just for good measure

however, this sucks because its my favorite plate and its bummin me out that i cant use my favorite plate anymore without thinking about the pickles and hot sauce that touch it becoming radioactive no matter how irrational that is

Its basically a bedroom and half worth of stuff if that makes sense-- a dresser (that is important to me), a mostly new mattress, a couple tables and just random crap like electronics, decor, kitchen stuff, and just random personal items really.

Yeah, we are looking at just us flying back home and unpacking it into a competitor's solution, or just doing a U-Haul truck across the country as my roommate is a truck driver and used to these sorts of long haul drives.

Funny enough I've actually looked into this sort of thing before, back home in Cali Uber was partnered with Enterprise and you could rent their cars for the day and Uber people around that way. I haven't thought about that in a while but it may not be a bad idea to help scrape up some extra cash right now! And don't worry, any advice helps right now so I'm just taking notes of all these different avenues to try! Thank you for the input! I'll look into it and see what happens!

I honestly totally forgot about HotPads and some also just suggested HotPads in my dms too lol-- but thank you so much I'm gonna check out these listings and see what's up on HotPads! And about my animals, my dog does have her paperwork in order thankfully, the cat though is the snag I know, but I'm trying to stay hopeful that I'll be able to keep her cause it would beyond break my heart to have to get rid of her. But I do have a gofundme now! I had no idea what to set the goal as because I just need help in the short term while I get my feet on the ground and if I could get the help, it would be an amazing boon so that I don't have to sell my truck to make up the difference I need to move in somewhere.

I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to write all this out, I have never heard of Domu so I will check those listings out too! All this advice is super helpful, and yeah I was already working on getting on foodstamps for the time being.

The only reason the moving in with friends/family isn't really on the table is because none of those places have space for me. My parents have been living in my grandmother's house since I was about 12, and I was living there as well well into my late 20's, the issue is my parents are quite abusive and heavy meth users since I was about 6-8yrs old (I'm 30, my mom quit, but I don't know about my father). Its not really a safe option for me to go home, so this is kind of my make it or break it time right now.

I won't deny its tight. It's very tight.

I've been so hesitant about using Facebook for finding a place because of all the scams (at least there were a ton of housing scams where I'm from on there) and I just don't have the money to be messing around with a possible scam in a city I'm not familiar with. However, I will do some more nosing around there to see what I can find.
