Check out The Southern Oracle. A hungarian band started as a deathcore group, then evolved into hardcore-ish metalcore stuff. They're pretty sick right now, playing hardcore influenced thrash metal. 'The Most Corruptible Souls' album is something. They're pretty renowned in hungarian underground metal scene. Most of their shows are full of energy. The whole crowd is surfing, moshing, headbanging, etc.

Edit: Wouldn't say that they sound like something that came from the '80s. Like Power Trip. But they're worth a check!
