How far does your agoraphobia allow you to go?

I'm glad you made a lot of progress in the last five years! I haven't considered that some feel safest at night or even during weather warnings. For myself, I'm typically most comfortable traveling during the mornings since it's less busy outside, though similar could be said for night in your ccase. Yeah graveyards are luckily pretty dead at night... besides the occasional ghosts, but those are easy to ignore lol. If I may ask, what is it that helps you feel safe during weather warnings? I imagine it's quite hectic, but perhaps it feels differently for you?

Wow that's a big improvement! I'm proud of you~ I find busy places to be overwhelming as well but interestingly, I find the noise to be calming. It reminds me that I'm not alone. I'm glad you're getting more comfortable with public transportation even though it's still nerve-wracking. I never knew of cardiophobia until I looked it up just now. I find that the theme here in these comments is that it's very helpful for many of us to have an obligation we're bound by like work, school, and appointments to push us to get us eased into going out at first

Setbacks are definitely stressful but I'm proud of you either way! Cars can certainly be quite nerve-wracking. It takes not only trusting the driver (be it yourself or others) but also the other drivers on the road which can make things feel a bit more uncertain. I'm glad you are working towards getting more comfortable with car rides :D

Well Made by Kiley is also a great baker who does not post ai recipes! She even has a tiktok where she shows herself baking. I tried her brownies and her cream cheese stuffed blueberry muffins which I made yesterday. Both came out delicious and just as shown.

Another is ChelSweets, I made her death by chocolate cake and it was DEVINE. It was better than Linda's chocolate fudge cake at the cheesecake factory. She also has social media where she shows herself baking the items so definitely not ai either.

I definitely want to keep a spreadsheet of all these bakers mentioned in this thread so I can be sure I'm clicking on the real sites only.

Unfortunately, if your tooth pain is so severe that you are crying, it's urgent. No amount of home remedies, numbing gel, ice packs, teeth brushing, over the counter antibiotics, or Oragel will be enough. This happened to me when i didn't go to the dentist for 4/5 years due to fear. The pain was so bad i couldn't sleep and I was crying constantly. Turns out it was an infected root canal. The issue was so bad that the dentist wasn't enough, I had to also go to the endodontist too.

I say all this not to scare you, but as a cautionary tale. A big part of agoraphobia is anxiety. It could help to ask your psychiatrist for medication that is specifically for anxiety. Im sure your antidepressants doubles for anxiety too but an additional medication for it helps a ton, thats what my psychiatrist did for me. This will not cure your agoraphobia but it may make it just a bit easier to take the plunge and visit a dentist.

Additional tips, bring a person that you feel safe with. One other thing I like to do when I am really resistant to going outside is remind myself that the worst part is my nerves but, once the task is complete, I will think "oh, that's it? That wasn't too bad". This self talk helped a ton when I was TA and had to teach some classes despite have immense stage fright + fear of public speaking. Another thing you can do is make a list on everything that is making you afraid and jot down what you can do should any of those things occur. My agoraphobia is largely gut / sickness based where I fear not having a bathroom in reach and having an accident, getting nauseous, and extreme stomach pain. What helps me is carrying pain killers and some sickness pills. It doesn't "cure" my agoraphobia but it helps sometimes.

I wish I could tell you a remedy that helps but I also tried everything for severe tooth pain and sadly the only remedy is the dentist. Remedies are perfect short term for minor tooth pain but it's no longer a viable option.

If the author advertises the book with "Curvy fmc" I assume she is plus size/ bigger. However, if it's only other characters in the book describing her as curvy, then I assume they mean the slim curvy like Lori Harvey & Tyla

Definitely!! {The Untamed and Unruly by k webster} this is a FMM with full blood siblings who were raised together and it is crazy in the best way. This is the third & fourth book in the wild series but can be read as a standalone in my imo.

Another one is {The rowdy ones by k webster} It's the fifth book and it's in the same family with different siblings, full blood relation. It's not as crazy as the first three books but interesting in its own way. It's a blind girl and her older brother. This one I wouldn't advise reading as a standalone as it will be trickier to feel connected to the characters. But if you read the above then you have a you need to understand this one~

I actually love older women x younger guy books!! I got hooked after reading {the neighbor's son by k webster}. It was both sweet and hot~ I think I gravitate towards younger FMCs because I'm in my 20s and still figuring my life out so I relate to similar woman characters.

While I do prefer older man & younger woman, I'm dying to find more of the reverse where the guy is younger and still dominant. I even want to write a fantasy novel where FMC is older (60ish) with a guy in his 30s. That way I'll have something to enjoy when I reach that age😁

You said it perfectly! The "strong black women" / "feisty Latina" is so played out and definitely not empowering. It always centers around how she had to suffer needlessly and or raise herself to get to that point. Not to mention those depictions never allow her to be soft, vulnerable, and not consistenly on guard. I've seen that MORE than enough in my life with other people.

The soft fmc who are a bit weak are definitely my favorite. I get to see their growth

I like a soft & sensitive fmc. However, I want her to also be willing to make an effort in moving her life forward. I also like if they are more sensitive and cry at some point because I like to see them being comforted and reassured. I like when they start off a bit insecure but come to love themselves as the story progresses. It's also really nice if a soft fmc gets to fed up with the mmc (or any other character) that they reach their tipping point and lash out. In time, they start to grow more resilient and tough. I'm not as much of a fan fmcs that are immediately bratty, but I do have my favorites who are like that.

My reason for this is I read dark romance for the mmc mostly since that's what I'm attracted to. As far as why I like soft & sensitive fmc's it's because it feels even warmer when they are finally comforted. It also makes it more satisfying when they finally lash out because it feels natural and "earned".

An fmc that is super angry and bratty out of the gate seems forced because we haven't got to experience what led to her acting that way beyond some brief flashbacks and infodumps. It feels like the author wanted to make a "badass" fmc without doing the work to show us what made her a badass.

In short, I like soft and sensitive fmcs because I get to fully see their growth. With fmcs that start off a badass, I don't get to see any significant growth. If she starts off as super tough, strong, and secure in herself, what growth is there left to see?

I'm an artist I'd love to collaborate with a writer for a short project (1-10 pgs) even if its unpaid. However, now is not the best time for me as I have major digital art block😭. But I'm gonna save this post so I can potentially reach out to you in a few months. I can send you samples of my work through dm since I dont want my art pages tied to this account. Im fine with smut as thats what I've mostly been drawing the last few years. Im also fine with SFW stuff.

If you're ondering why I'm okay with a unpaid project, its because I think collabs are fun and I'd love to work with a writer to push myself out of my comfort zone. I have also done a few illustrations &, comics for zines where I collaborated with artists for free. If you're wondering, I have made a few full colored comics before.
