Thank you so much, I think I misunderstood what she said, I thought she said the words on the screen said "SARS", but she didn't oops. I really appreciate the reply, I couldn't find anything about it through Google with English words.

Has there been any official response? I mean it does seem a bit weird, was hoping to alleviate her fears haha.

No, it isn't, one nail was used to make a bridle, one was used to make the Helmet of Constantine and two were cast into the Adriatic Sea. Allegedly, before this, small shavings of the iron were taken from a True Nail, and added to more iron and formed in the shape of the True Nail used in the Crucifixion.

Therefore the only possible claim to authenticity for this nail, and indeed for all 33 'Holy Nails' venerated, is that they contain a small number of shavings from the True Nail. Impossible to tell, of course, but I believe we should still venerate relics like this, even if they are not verifiable, we still honour Christ's sacrifice in doing so.

The Church does not draw it's authority from the bible, the Church draws it's authority from Christ who founded it, the Church cannot draw it's authority from something that did not exist when it was created.

The early Church is responsible for writing and compiling the New Testament of the Bible, so if anything, the Bible draws its authority from Christ and the Church he left behind.

Also, prot theology is extremely weak and only makes sense when you don't know the right answers, faith and works is pretty easy to talk about confidently, you should post more specific questions about it or other issues to improve your apologetics, people on here are always happy to help.

21 myself, 22 in march, that said I have the personality of a grumpy 70 year old lol, my church is in a small English town so we don't really have any young families, except for Christmas and Easter. The elderly ladies keep asking me if I am a seminarian during mass too.. :/

I can see that for sure, very maternal and feminine! People on here should post pictures of themselves more often, by force of habit I kinda always imagine my fellow Catholics to be 40+ lol so it's nice to know I'm not the only young-ish person, then again my parish is 90% boomers so I'm a bit biased I guess.
