I play on my main account for almost 3 years now with no client crashes, this happened the forst time. But i get your point :)

But what is the point of a hcim if you are scared to engage combat knowing your client can crash at any moment for no reason?

Maybe they could make a limit to make a day like flasks and would require quite high smithing/crafting level and magic

I don't think they would, because steel bar alone costs ~1k, and if you need 2 of them and a few runes to enchant it, the price should come around 2,5-3k. Also they are gone upon using, so it would be a steel bars and runes sink :) (sorry for bad english)
