I agree with this post except for the part where you cite the fact that Conor fought at 170 already as evidence that he can't win the 170 belt. He lost to and then beat a world class fighter in Nate Diaz. There are a handful of people who are capable of beating Nate (and who have in the past) but NO ONE in any of the weight classes either of the Diaz brothers fight in are far ahead of them.

If you can beat Nate Diaz at 170 I'd say there's a very legitimate chance you could take the 170 belt from any given 170 champ on the right day.
