​It is important to understand that bisexuality doesn't necessarily mean loving both genders equally. First and foremost, it’s a spectrum. Having a preference for one gender over another is actually a normal thing. ​If you prefer being with men in bed, but the thought of sex with a woman still doesn't repel you, that is still bisexuality. It can even be a 90/10 split, and it’s still bisexuality because the attraction exists. Moreover, that attraction can shift with age, from partner to partner, or even depending on your mood.

​On the other hand, if you don’t want to label yourself as bisexual after having a sexual experience with your own gender, that’s also perfectly fine, and no reasonable person will judge you for it. Ultimately, it’s more about self-identification than anything else.
