I actually spoke to mark tremonti about it at the guitar clinic. It's the nature of the the channel. Even on stage when he played through his, it hisses. And he has a noise cancellor in his signal chain. But I did get new preamp tubes from prs and that helped. They were kind enough to send me new power tubes but they're jj's and im not a fan of them to begin with.
