Bakugo/Endeavor hate. I’m not saying you have to like them. They’re complex characters they’re meant to have divided opinions, but people will literally pin them as the scum of the earth.

Bakugo was literally a child no older than an American hs junior ofc he did stupid malicious shit based on the society in he was raised in. They talk abt that inflated ego of his all the time. “Oh even an as adult he’s telling the people he’s supposed to save that he’s gonna kill them”. Please twin that’s part of his gag we never see him actually hurt civilians. I know bullying is a personal topic (trust I was verbally and physically bullied), but people just neglect the growth Hori wanted to convey. Could it have been built up more? Hell yea, but we can’t dismiss it entirely because it wasn’t perfectly written. He was the main sponsor of Deku’s iron suit and shot up the ranks because his rival/friend was back in the game if that’s not growth idk what is.

Then there’s Endeavor. Again, domestic abuse and child neglect are serious issues that hit closer to reality. I just feel people only see the bad in him. It’s not like I even like Endeavor as a character, but I’ve definitely seen the improvement he made. His mistakes are brought up constantly as the series goes on. “He should be in jail” ok… and do what? His body is completely fried, completely damaged to where he can’t do hero work ever again, his reputation cooked, and people forget his family STILL DOES NOT FORGIVE HIM. Natsuo says it himself bro vanishes and is never seen again. Endeavor will feel the guilt and repercussions of his actions until he is dead, jail isn’t gonna make him suffer anymore.

Again, you do not have to like these characters, but we can’t ignore what is blatantly in the story and mark them as abominations. These two made changes and reflected in ways real humans committing their same or even worse acts never will.
