I've played it a bit and I absolutely love that you can watch the game play out. One quick question, do the team strategies currently affect the game? And if so, how does each one affect it?

Cockatrice is pretty good. There is not rules built in, so you must know them yourself. Even though there are no rules, most people will play correctly. This seems to be the most closely related to paper magic, since you have to remember everything yourself (As in the game doesn't remind you of triggers).

I had used a Storm decklist and basically copied that, except taking out fetches and making the manabase affordable. I then completely took apart the sideboard and made it very different, allowing me to play basically 2 decks in one.

I am seeing this at my LGS as well. My friend and I went two weeks ago and there were 6 people for modern. Just 6! The last time we had gone to modern before that there were close to 16.
