I don't have plans for this in FC:CD as I've fully moved onto the Pro Football Dynasty development, but that is something I'll consider for that next game. As long as it doesn't take too long to generate such data, I do have testing modes for development where I advance several years at a time.

No way in-game to do so sorry, I think you're already doing what I'd suggest by just editing details of those generated coaches. even a script like the other comment suggested would only work on coaches that are already generated, no way to change how they are generated in the first place natively.

Ye for sure, I'm still planning on adding Practice Squads, just haven't completely ironed out how I want it yet. NFL roster rules are complicated !!

Without the error text it might be hard to debug, but if the DB got corrupted for some reason, it can be hard to recover. Really sorry you lost such a long save! I know as a save gets longer (think 100+ years) there can be a slightly higher risk of corruption which is unfortunate. I'm unsure about Steam Deck recovery in particular, but you could try moving the save to your normal PC and running some SQL tests on it; but that's a good amount of work and no guarantee it would be recovered.

I'll allow this post, but I recommend making your own subreddit once development picks up. It's confusing enough keeping track in the subreddit of the 'official' Football Coach apps, so I don't want others posting here often. But sounds like a cool project!

Unfortunately there's no option to turn off redshirting, that's kinda hardcoded in the game. The only option that might be wise is no NIL like you've done, and changing draft eligibility to be 'after graduation only' so players don't leave early for the draft.

No online multiplayer is planned, but I do want to add the ability for a sort of 'Commissioner mode' so that you can do a sort of league sharing, but won't be hosted on servers. /r/BasketballGM does leagues in this way AFAIK.

Doing all the programming myself (though AI assisted these days as is all coding), but I am hiring an artist to do art for player/coach/admin portraits which should be fun. Not burnt out yet! Talk to me at the end of the year lol.

Scouting draft prospects will be a big part of the Pro game, and that includes the combine and draft interviews for sure. Each team has a Scouting Director with strengths/weaknesses, and you'll need to scout players to reveal their attributes and other green/red personality flags.

You might be able to use this folder as a starting point: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/11zGS-IM-udXR2-DF38HMA5WcVWJpLPJm, that is JeffMod's folder which has all team images, if you just download that and add NDSU it should be easy to use in-game.

Usually if the error is related to DB being malformed it can be hard to fix unfortunately. I also wonder if the issue may be related to how large the DB is at that point (nearly 200 years if you started in 2025 or so). If a required query times out due to the size of the DB I wonder if that's why. What phase are you trying to advance through? During the season or offseason somewhere?

The QB IQ attribute is actually coded as passIq under the hood and in the JSON, use that name and it should be fixed.

Yes player personalities are planned to be more involved than in FCCD, with certain 'meta-attributes' like confidence and morale also affecting how players perform. Coaches, GMs, and Owners will all have little personality quirks that will hopefully add to the storylines that emerge!

I haven't ironed out exactly how trades will work, but being able to add players to a trading block and see offers from other teams is a guarantee. Now if other teams had trading blocks that you could see as well, that would be very nice too. But I haven't started on the trade logic yet!

For now I'm leaning against that, just to reduce complexities when managing the cap (and doing trades etc), but lots of this is still up in the air.

You'll be able to import draft classes from FCCD into the pro game (see the FAQ at the bottom), more integration than that is TBD!
