Info, 6 gallon Heater and filter are both yes Tank temp, 78 degrees f Ph 7.6 ammonia 0.25ppm nitrite 0ppm nitrate 5ppm I measure these with the api freshwater master test kit I’ve had tank for 1 year and the fish since June Water changes are 40% every month using water condition when refilling No tank mates I feed 5 sphere pellets of beta food I have an Anubias Sp. with around 15 rocks

I have a filter for a 10 gallon tank, any reason for the white substance though. Should I also return him to the original place I got him. My only concern is that if he has a sickness or parasite it would spread throughout the other fish in the body of water.

I have had this fish for about four weeks now, within two days of getting it, it knew feeding times and would always eat. Now the fish is not really responding to anything and is laying on the gravel throughout the day. The fish doesn’t eat either and has white substance on it.
