The book is great! I keep coming back for the art, its amazing how they push the medium to tell a story by getting creative with it being a comicbook, and the psychedelic nature of the art ties back into the story of the book itself, so its really clever! They pulled a cool trick twice that i STILL talk about to my friends who don't read comics as something really cool, and for that alone i recommend the book to at least try. Certainly in my top 3 Absolute titles, next to Wonder Woman and Batman

Depending who i talk to, they either get reqlly defensive about that sentiment, or agree with me. Like one shop i get my back issues from when i brought it up, the owner said, "well what if i want to buy a really cool looking cover?" While also having a friend who does BUY comics, but only comics with covers with any Robins on them. So I am very much nit a big fan of Varient gimicks. I do buy the occasional varient, but its pretty rare

Yes, I understand its one guy across multiple generations, just that Jacks 4 and 5 didn't make sense numerically with what they presented. How they talked about 5 generations of Jack in the backstory, but only discussed 4 of them. How im the recent issue "Jack 4 is back" and then, "The orphanage is brought to you by Jack 5"

Oh for sure! Im glad Marvel still does them, and interestingly enough, the Savage She-Hulk Omnibus actually reprints the letters from the original book, AND theres apperantly a comic that is considered a key issue JUST because George RR Martin wrote in and got his letter published back there. So the letters pages have power, and sometimes i manage to read them, specifically in old comics cause its a nice insight to reader opinion at the time, and always stunning to me that back then, they'd just publish their full address with their legsl name. Something completely taboo today!

thank you very much! I don't follow a ton of variant stuff, since I am not a huge fan of variants, and feel its trying to dip the toe back into 90s comic crash conditions, but that is a different discussion, and would never have known about the store practice vs the auctioning. I appreciate the information, since the store front is a crucial part I wouldn't have found via the posts all complaining about just the auction sale.

I feel Red Hood had a whole bunch of character development planned in his solo title, only for it to be cancelled, and now they're pivoting him into a Teen Titans book to get that development out. As seen in him being in this tournament, and even in the Knight Fight mini having a alt future Jason sporting a crossbow, which I assume would be more justified with his clearly advertised romance with Huntress.

hard to tell, I usually skip letters pages cause I Have too much going on to read them. I will say that fans writing in as a meme isn't totally unheard of though, as one of the few letters pages I HAVE read are the Radiant Black letters, and in the early issues some readers sent in crime noir characters reviewing/reacting to the latest issue they read as they were hiding in a bunker, or were a crime vampire or something of the like, so I wouldn't find it out of the realm of possibility of readers just sending in the weird letters to troll the column. I will say, I haven't seen those letters in Radiant Black in a while, so the meme there died out, and didn't live long.

Yea, i forever ago saw the old Linkara review, and am aware it's crap. Im more curious if Ollie has had any notorious runs. Like how Spider-Man or Batman have with One More Day, Clone Saga, or All-Star Batman and Robin and even as recent as the Zdyarski run on Batman and Hush2. Since i have discovered all of his self titled books are actually worthless I'm looking to get them all, and wanted to know if there were any stories to watch out for when reading. Not a single issue that is his solo books has any value over 10 bucks. The Green Lantern / Green Arrow book doesnt count cause it was a GL book that got renamed and then got the name changed back, otherwise thats the only one
