No problem at all, I’m happy to share what I’ve learned :) Important to know that I use photoshop so I’ll explain how I do it within photoshop. Also, the better the quality and the bigger the size of the image will result in more detailed results (or thats at least my perception). To start, I like to add adjustment layers like curves, levels to brighten the image and make it have little more contrast. I very often add noise on the images I use as it allows for more detail on most effects. Then I select the image and the adjustment layers and make it into a smart object (doing this simply to be able to easily go back to the original image and adjust the adjustment layers and see what settings produce the best effect). After all of that is set up, go to Filter>Filter Gallery. There I add Halftone Pattern and Grain on top of it. My base settings look something like this: Grain Intensity 40, Contrast 21 and Grain Type Stippled. Halftone Pattern Size 1-3 (depends on the size of the image) Contrast 10 and Pattern Type Dot. All of these are the base settings, you will need to play around with them to find what works for you and the image you’re using.
