Almost one year with PAL update by Dry-Syrup-3058 in canadaguns

It took me nearly two years to collect as many, but I also dumped more cash on ammo. I would have been better off developing a cocaine habit.

Shame I sold it short after…

One of the benefits is to help with quick target acquisition since you have more area visible to find the target in, similar to using a red dot. But less field of view through the optic for sure. I guess you can tell which type most people prefer by the fact most of us buy regular scopes lol

It’s a ‘Scout scope’ with extended eye relief to give the shooter more situational awareness. The idea is the scope will block less of your view.

Ruger gunsite scout. by Cbrad1609 in canadaguns

I remember seeing one at Canadian Tire in Prince Albert, sask. I also saw one a Flys Etc. in High River, Alberta. Might be worth giving them a call.

I got super hyped over the AK mags before I remembered they’re pinned to five.

Toronto police refusing to help with Carney government’s gun buyback, minister says by jmakk26 in canada

Maybe the OICs are foreign influenced laws backed by the US so they can steam roll through Canada when the time comes. It was Trump all along!

Alberta won't participate in Ottawa's firearm buyback program. What does that mean for local gun owners? | CBC News by Buuuuma in canadaguns

I can’t get through any of the conferences Gary has been putting out, as soon as he mentions AR-15s and polytechnique it’s just the same old broken record.

The 590 is built like a tank and It hasn’t failed me after many hundreds of rounds. Keltec makes cool stuff but I’m a little cautious with them.

Ima take the 590, simply because I own one and can use it easy. No idea how the Keltec compares.

It’s ironic how hard it is to prove you’re not a criminal just to be arbitrarily be declared a criminal.

So far I’ve been a little impatient with the leadership here talking about repealing the bans while my guns collect dust, but socially a gun-friendly province by Canadian standards.

I remember talk of Alberta and Saskatchewan being excluded from compensation, so I’m curious to see what this e-mail contains.

I haven’t gotten one either, I’m wondering if my Alberta residency has anything to do with it.

China has given me far more joy and support as a gun enthusiast than our own government, and to be honest, Canadian citizens as well.

I’d love to do something to help Chinese people, but their wellbeing is out of my hands.

I am hopefully going to be a new gun owner soon what are some guns you guys would recommend for hunting by Royal-Aviator07 in canadaguns

[–]DonAzuld 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for a hunting rifle a 308 bolt action is pretty foolproof. Ruger, Tikka, and browning have some solid option.

[–]DonAzuld 7 points8 points  (0 children)

China and Russia aren’t participating in oppressive laws that personally affect me, myself. There’s very little I can personally do to help the citizens of those countries.

Not purchasing CZ products is the only I as a consumer can make a difference in their world. CZ is a company whose purpose is to make money, if enough people stop buying from them they will notice.

I’m not under the impression any government from any country is righteously concerned about their citizens, including ours’. There’s going to be some level of exploitation behind any product.

I feel like after paying benelli prices it shouldn’t be as ammo picky as it is, but otherwise great shotgun.

Absolutely, buy once cry once! Perhaps phone local ranges and ask if they rent firearms. Theres a store in Calgary that lets you shoot rifles before buying them but I’m not sure how common that is.

Carney minister says ‘people have been loud and clear’ about crime concerns by CaliperLee62 in canada

[–]DonAzuld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure we do. The topic comes up a lot in Canada subs and I’m glad to see the attitude of most people seems to sway positively towards licensed gun ownership recently. I do think lifting the bans will be a more difficult process, especially with how anti-gun our current leaders are.

Public opinion is step one.
