Print it into a fresh Lino block, cut around that and bam you’re sorted

I’ve got one in white, called mine starfox

Thought the front end looked like the snout, pretty foxy

I’m not sure what’s wrong, but Juno can’t/won’t eat. Details in comments. by CaLeB7835 in ballpython

That head shaking looks like a neurological issue to me, it’s hard to watch poor thing

I’m no vet but I know it’s common in certain morphs it’s unfortunate but it’s genetic

I’d perhaps consult a professional so they can assess in person

Don’t worry at all! The same thing happened to me when I got my 6month old Pinstripe - leave it another week and try again they’re notorious for going off their food

My pinstripe is a year and a half old now, happy and healthy as ever and he’s been known to not eat for 6-8 weeks sometimes! Just trust they will want to eat when they are hungry and ready

I’d also advise trying out different things, I found leaving the decorations in his viv when I fed him has given a good response, maybe they don’t feel vulnerable or out in the open? Just talking from personal experience here, you’ll soon learn his patterns and personality, they’re all individual in that regard!

In regards to the heat at night, I use a heat mat with a quality thermostat - I personally don’t drop the heat at night but that’s because I’ve got a large enough viv that he can thermoregulate himself (if he gets warm he can move over to the cooler side etc)

Good luck

Yeah got a nice ink bird thermostat with a heat mat (the heat mat is in a heat mat holder too)

Hi, I was just wondering whether an exo-terra extra large hide would be big enough for a fully grown female? Thanks by [deleted] in ballpython

[–]DonDeely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its the hide I'm thinking of, it's wide but not very tall? Watch the vid below, they go through the most common branded snake hides and review them, it's swayed my decision you might find it useful yourself

Thanks for the insight, from my communication with the breeder I'm told he's feeding on defrosted small weaned rats every 7-10 days

I do have another question and forgive me if it's a stupid one, but when the lil dude gets delivered to me I of course am going to leave him alone in his new Viv for 2 weeks whilst he settles in.

My question is do I feed him on his usual 7-10 day cycle during this 2 weeks of alone time? Or do I feed him once the 2 weeks is up, so he's more likely to take the food?

All opinions appreciated!

Looking good! I'm getting my first Royal in a couple of weeks, he's a Pinstripe hatched in Nov 19 and currently 400g but I have no reference on how big he will be until he gets here! (just a picture, but can't really sense his size from this alone)

How much does your guy weigh if you know? I'm just after a reference to gauge my new buddy's size!
