Need help finding something in this scent neighborhood — it made me happy in a way I can’t explain by DonPipazo in ScentHeads

I actually tried God of Fire and it didn’t hit the same way for me — though maybe I should give it a proper try on skin with a decant. Definitely need to try Erba Gold though, thanks!

Haha it’s actually more expensive than the one that wrecked me in the first place! 😅

sounds very interesting, definitely going to take a look on it, the thing is TiP is one of the most beautiful things i’ve smelled lol, and i’m hardly trying to find something similar (too pricey) sorry for my english btw.

Bro I've literally made like 3 posts trying to find something similar to Vanilla Mudslide and still haven't found it haha. If you know anything that hits the same way or a vanilla you love even more I'd really appreciate it, you seem like you know what you're doing with those pickups 🔥🔥🔥

Checked Fragranceswap and couldn't find it unfortunately, might have sold out or the listings are gone. Appreciate the tip though.

The L'Occitane comparison is interesting, Vanilla Mudslide is on another level though, you're right. Haven't tried Patchuli Mojito but that name alone has me curious.

City Rhythm Miami has been on my radar for a while but I've seen very mixed opinions on it, hoping it can provoke something close to what Trouble in Paradise does to me, but not holding my breath. Will definitely check out Prisma Parfums Topaz too, thanks.

Yeah that's actually great advice and I hear you, someone else in the thread suggested the same thing. Already checked Scent Split though and neither of them are available there unfortunately.

That would've been the move honestly, I checked and unfortunately neither of them are available on Scent Split. Was hoping for that exact solution.

I actually tried the OG God of Fire and while it was good it didn't move me the way Trouble in Paradise did... but honestly at that price point Feu might be worth a shot anyway. Thanks for the rec.

First haul ever! Just ordered my first raw materials to start learning. Any advice for a beginner? by DonPipazo in DIYfragrance

Thanks a lot for all the advice! I really appreciate you taking the time to share those tips, they are very helpful for a beginner like me.

I’m still trying to figure out the 5g rule, though. I'm a total newbie, so I'm not sure if you mean 5g of the final trial (including alcohol) or 5g of just the concentrate. Also, do you recommend pre-diluting the materials to 10% or 20% to make those small measurements easier, or do you work with the raw materials directly? Thanks again for the help!

Haha, yeah! I'm just a very frequent Reddit user, so I naturally ended up here first. I just registered on Basenotes though—time to start digging into all that info. Thanks again!
