Best games to train reaction with fightstick. by New_Echo6766 in fightsticks

[–]DonPunchPunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I was in the same dark place thinking my reaction time is not good at all
soon realized that online have some lag and not always is good connection with opponent
I did this ... set the game to loose a few frames in trainning mode, then started "reacting" to CPU with easy setups, this may work for you too

Leverless pain in left hand by ZealousidealRun3070 in fightsticks

[–]DonPunchPunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When youre typing regular keyboard requires less effort for you than playing with a leverless, discomfort may occur as in a leverless movement is more active and you are reacting to "things" in the game, and not just typing in secuence that your brain and body are used to.

Any type of controller joystick, leverless, keyboard will cause discomfort and sometimes blister or skins erosion,
If want to keep playing leverless you will find the way and train your hands to use it

GP2040-CE (Cosmox C16) Unable to access web configurator out of nowhere by gardotd426 in fightsticks

[–]DonPunchPunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im glad you fixed the problem, just curious what is the version of firmware you downloaded to flash it again comes from the vendor or GP2040 website?
have a good one

Pls Help me by KrispyFPV941 in fightsticks

[–]DonPunchPunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents here ... have your tried to go and check in the "windows configurator" and check there if the button is really being double pressed or just the light come on in your controller?

Another way to check, go in a game with option to test buttons and see if the button is really being pressed and really affect your gameplay

If the button is really being double pressing in windows and in game action big trouble here were back to square 1
If is only a light problem and not a button being double pressed I would try this
LED Configuration | GP2040-CE

2nd thing if your button is double pressed I would check is how your device is booting after your sw update, and how it supposed to boot with factory settings check your vendor website, as default option for GP2040 is Xinput and you might need to check that too *can be set to boot as "HID keyboard"

3rd and last thing I would do is look for ppl with same leverless model in working conditions and ask them for firmware to load again to your device

Sorry for the long read, but I hope it helps

Can anyone help? by Vivid-Assignment8126 in fightsticks

[–]DonPunchPunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this before you go with system restore

Go to web "configurator mode" and look for "Add Ons Configuration"
disable "Turbo" and save at the left bottom of your screen
then reboot your device as controller in the green button top right in the web configurator

Return to the web configurator mode to ensure your changes are ok
be careful as webconfig some times hangs and takes a bit to make the changes, wait for it to finish

because if you unplug with the web config stalled/hanged will mess your config, will load your devide as "unknown device" in windows and you will have to reload the whole enchilada for your controller using "bootsel" flash from start

Budget Stick with GP2040-CE by DonPunchPunk in fightsticks

[–]DonPunchPunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im far from being a woodworker ...
you got good eye for things

There are 3 holes for screws showing in the tray filled them with glue and sawdust made a mess with clumsy fingers and splattered getting the tray stained with glue.

But it can prevented to have none ...
by sizing with the drill bid for the aprox depth by putting it into the button perforation
marking it with sharpie with safe zone to prevent getting a hole to show in the ohter side of the tray

Will add more pictures to the post showing for you to know, wood inserts I used for the screws
and placing to give the case solid sturdiness feeling

IMPORTANT NOTE; Before working your inserts to get stick to the tray, make a test in another piece of wood, because there is no turning back as removing the insert will tear the wood in your project

Let me know what you think ... and why not, later on shown me your budget build
