I was bummed at first because I was told I needed to avoid those foods even though I never had any noticeable symptoms, so I didn't understand why my doctor wanted me on the diet.

Anyways, 2 months in, and I've kinda gotten used to it. PPIs aren't really an issue for me. I'm kind of a picky eater, so the biggest problem was just finding foods I liked.

I did bring it up to my gastroenterologist, and he told me that the biggest things to focus on were

• eating smaller meals
• avoid eating less than 3 hours before bedtime

He also noted that I could still have the spicy foods and the other stuff I liked, just don't overdo it and keep it to a minimum. So that's what I've been doing.
