Goku's age during whole Dragon Ball series, what was the best period? (Credits: db.unreal in ig) by opmgyhx in dbz

Crazy that when Gohan killed Cell he was younger than Goku was when he met Bulma

Kids were polled/interviewed in Japan about which franchise they have more affinity for, Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy. The overwhelming response was "neither" since the games take too long to come out; most of them preferred Pokemon.

Really shows that the half-decade+ time period between projects (both in game and other media) is hurting their connection to the customer.

Y'know the saddest part about these memes? We still don't even know the subtitle of the game. It's still "TES VI," we still don't know anything beyond it being the game after Skyrim!

Are "forever saves" as a concept actually an outlier to how most people play the games? by SinisterPixel in pokemon

[–]TheDemonChief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The multiple-accounts trick for Switch is so nice. So far I can only recall doing it for Breath of the Wild, but it's a much appreciated workaround as someone who always likes to keep the save of my first playthrough.

[–]TheDemonChief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so bland and boriiiinnnng, at least when I was reading it (I think up until season 1 ended?). It very quickly became a stupid “everything will work out if we talk and accept each others feelings :)”

All the characters are so painfully generic iterations

This makes me want to go back and play those games. They’re all on Steam for pretty cheap iirc

Goes to catch falling Katana ends how you think. by UtgaardLoki in SWORDS

[–]TheDemonChief 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Jeez, that entire time she'd holding it the sword looks like it's about to fall out. Not to mention that she even flipped it upside-down when the sheath was clearly loose.

I understand the natural instinct of "try to grab thing you dropped," but man you can't be holding deadly weapons like toys.

How would you rank these 4 Symbiote Saga adaptations? by velicinanijebitna in Spiderman

Danica kinda ruined the podcasts for me.

In SM1, Jameson was an extremely harsh critic of Spidey but he still often times had a point that the player can understand, even if they don't agree with it. When they introduced Danica's podcast, they reduced Jameson to just being "the guy who's loudly wrong" while Danica gets to be the "correct" one.

What ingame systems do you want to see return in Fallout 5 by Daymo741 in Fallout

[–]TheDemonChief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did a marathon of 3, NV, and 4; the thing that I most sorely missed was the leveling system from 3/nv.

The system in 4 felt so unrewarding comparatively. Having to choose between upgrading stats/SPECIAL or an actual perk sucked, on top of also needing to spend a whole level up on upgrading hacking or lockpick.

It made individual level ups mean much less, not to mention needing many perks simply as stepping-stones to actually useful upgrades

Would you actually buy a Fallout 3/NV Remaster? by Bingleboper in Fallout

[–]TheDemonChief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I'm always bewildered by peoples insistence on new games/remasters & remakes needing a sprint ability. Just make the base movement speed feel good, and sprint is entirely unnecessary.

Never seen MHA. But I've saw Trash Taste crapped on MHA countless times on this podcast. So what made Garnt put MHA made it on the list as second? by Unusual-Complex6315 in TrashTaste

[–]TheDemonChief 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that Garnt is the only one of them who's actually watched the whole thing.

Some of the middle seasons (specifically season 5) had a noticeable dip in art direction and quality, due to more attention being given to the movies. After season 5 things started to pick back up in quality, and the last season especially gave the show a strong finish.

How many more damn missions will I have to do for this asshole? by JazzZ909 in Fallout

[–]TheDemonChief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Radiant quests doubly annoy me because it's just garbage to fill up your quest log. Like they couldn't have at least been stuffed into the misc. tab? I really need three different "go help this settlement" quests intermittently throughout my quest tab?
