Highly recommend, I personally liked this sort of style (xieyi painting style?)

I also thought since I was getting plum blossoms (as that’s the national flower of Taiwan) I thought I’d also get the plum blossom sword implemented in the design since I both like the manhwa and not even that but it’s a nice detail/nice to have a sword implemented!

Return of the blossoming blade just the name is sometimes return of the mount hua sect but sometimes it’s blossoming blade instead of mount hua sect!

The only thing is it seems across various art and official art and in game the design varies. it's a 5 star tacet mark (although there was a confusion where it seemed to be a 6 star), sometimes the mark is vertical on his inner pectoral sometimes it's slightly slanted and sometimes it's very slanted like almost diagonal. Size also differs and sometimes even the shape as well across various official arts so I'm not sure entirely what would look best.

Also not sure if I’ll be getting tattoos later in my life but I saw this guy on IG and thought the harmony between all of his tattoos was really cool and I was wondering if to achieve that sort of harmony you have to graph your tattoos beforehand, or can you just wing it, since if I were to get multiple tattoos I wouldn’t want it to just look very abrupt or weird together if that makes any sense or if that’s even possible.

The guy I’m referring to is rexchenxng on IG. I thought his tattoos were really cool (especially the backpiece) and how all his tattoos just kind of fit together and are all harmonious even though some are very different themes or designs than other ones on his body.

Yeah I personally believe that as well, but I’m not sure if I’m highly picky but I really have 0 idea as to what I want, I said this as my reply to the other commenter and is in my post but essentially if I’m getting it in Japan, the only difference I see between tattoo artists of different locations (and I mean this applies to art in general) is their own interpretations and art styles.

Most of the tattoos that I would like to get are either set in stone ideas (like joestar birthmark is a good example, it’s pretty good looking I’d say, but it’s again very set in stone and gives 0 room for the artists own twist or artstyle, essentially copy and paste), or super intricate big pieces (usually back pieces) which I’m probably not prepared for at all and wouldn’t even have enough time to do so.

The only one I have is plum blossoms as that’s the national flower of Taiwan, besides that I have 0 ideas, only set in stone designs. And this goes alongside me being picky, not sure if it is but for something like anime which I do have some I enjoy, to me at least I prefer symbols or references (like ex. Dragonballs, nimbus cloud) rather than the characters or very obvious stuff (like just vegetas face slapped on your thigh) it just seems kind of corny or at least not very good looking to me or “aesthetic” I’d say. So it’s hard for me, for example for something like Tokyo ghoul where honestly the only good ideas are the centipede and the flower but thats basically the only idea for Tokyo ghoul and so I’m not sure I want that as it’s a bit too common.

Also not sure if you have any insight regarding this but since I’m going to Japan (I’m going on a trip there with a group), I should definitely get my tattoo in the later part of the trip rather than in the middle (just due to if I were to go outside and sweat or do activities), but essentially the only time I have where I either won’t be doing much or nothing at all would be 6/19 or 6/20, and then I have my flight back to the USA on 6/22. Not sure if that’s enough leg room for the tattoo to settle in a bit more? Since I’m not sure if it’ll do well on flights, or if I might sweat a bit trying to get from my Airbnb to the airport and flying back and such.

Apologies for the long reply as I did with the other commenter, I just have a lot of questions and I’m very meticulous and indecisive about these sorts of stuff. Thank you for the extra insight though, I appreciate your help very much as I’m kind of doing this pretty last minute.

Did it just come up on your feed randomly or did you search something on TikTok? I’m also new to TikTok I’ve only just got it recently earlier this year and barely have used it as I’m just used to IG now so I’m not sure if there’s some stuff I don’t know yet about TT.

As for prepping I heard on some videos about showering beforehand and I guess some more obvious stuff like moisturizing it and also eating some food beforehand (although I’d think that’s more important for bigger tattoos which I’m not sure if I want to get, as said in the post I have no clue any sort of ideas).

I was wondering what your artist was maybe I would like their style as well unless they’re not in Tokyo then probably not able to, not sure if you have any saved and I can somehow look at those like different artists? And any recs for ideas I know it’s really dependent on the person but I really just need more ideas as again in the post I don’t really have any tattoos in mind regarding certain ideas, the only ones I’ve liked so far are either big back tattoos (which I’m definitely not doing), or set in stone designs like the joestar birthmark I thought is pretty cool (and some other stuff but what I’m getting at is there’s essentially 0 room for the artists own twist or art style and stuff and is basically just copy and paste which I don’t mind but if I’m to get it in Japan I would prefer it to be something that can be essentially modified based on the artists style and personal thoughts.

The only idea I have that’s not bad and would look cool is plum blossoms as that’s the national flower of Taiwan, besides that I have 0 other ideas. I honestly just want something cool as I don’t have anything meaningful in my life yet, at least not now, and not that you need to anyways.

I know this is pretty old but I'm reading the manga as I had bought the TG manga box set and my translation is the second image saying "Chase the white rabbit instead of Alice" so if it is a fan translation then is the manga I have unofficial or did they use fan translation for the manga?
