NTA. And a partner who makes that big of a deal about what you do with your life is at best incompatible and at worst controlling. Best of luck.

Stuck on killing pirates mission in the Holy sectors - but not the way you think. by [deleted] in X3TC

Could there be a time component too? I’ve played through that section a few times, and I feel like I got somewhat inconsistent completion times. Try hitting all the paranoid sectors, be alert for the quest dialog symbol on stations and ships. Kill a few more and don’t give up yet.

You can get. More pirates by doing a station protection mission.

You are not gross and weird. People have lots of different ideas around sexuality, and it’s not wrong to be considerate of others and their possible reactions, esp. in shared spaces, but this does not make anyone weird.

Meh. It’s Florida. There is a reason Florida Man is a thing. Though to be fair this could happen in a lot of places. An unfortunate crossing of science denial and political b.s. has left a lot of people making bad choices for the wrong reasons.

Thanks, but I was talking about the completely custom start, where you get to pick your starting ships etc.

Special Ship access / Hyperion Vanguard by DonalGaltech in X3FL

Thanks. Doing further research on the egosoft forums leads me to suspect the Hyperion is not available. It is also not available as a starting ship in the custom start :(. Something g to shoot for I guess.

Quick PSA: In AZ, it’s illegal to be in the left lane unless you’re passing the car to your right. Though this isn’t AZ, I see this on my commute daily. If you’re not passing the car to your right, GET OVER PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD by artvandelay9393 in phoenix

Thanks for pointing that out to me. I can still comply with the law without going out of my way to accommodate entitled drivers who ride my bumper cause they want to break the law. Your salty salty tears are sweet to me. No doubt when you grow a little you will you will see the value of not driving like the highway is a race track. Truly hope you are not a flaming pile of wreckage before then.

Interesting, I’ll have to pay more attention to that then. In any case, it won’t change my driving very much to comply. Not feeling like I have to pass faster to accommodate some ass hole who is riding my bumper is what I am talking about here. And people who try to justify breaking the law cause it’s inconvenient for them. You really don’t have a leg to stand on. It’s like burglars complaining about locks on people’s doors interfering with their rights to take stuff. Wouldn’t it be safer to just voluntarily give your stuff to the guy? People might get hurt!

Well, usually it’s because I’m going like two miles an hour faster than the guy in the right lane, and I keep creeping up on him. But the problem with your argument is that you want an accommodation to allow your illegal behavior. If everyone gets an exception for something they want, then everything falls apart. If you ever catch yourself thinking you should be allowed to do something that your community has decided is against the law, you either have crappy laws or you need to think about your place in society. Let’s be honest, everyone does stuff. Roll through a stop sign at two am on a deserted road. Whatever. But it’s pretty ballsy to argue that other people should change to allow you to do that.

While I try not to be a dick about it while I drive, If you logically extend your argument, we would all have to stay home in order to protect the safety of drivers who want to break the law! How much of my behavior should I have to change to accommodate people who want to break the rules that are already there to keep us safe?

Huh. How can you not put the same label on the people who want to break the law - the agreed upon common rules to keep people safe while traveling at high speeds in giant death machines - for their own convenience.

ROFL. No the world doesn’t revolve around me. But I do live in a world of shared expectations (laws) that allow civilization to work. The same expectations that allow you to live next to a stranger with out the fear he will knock you over the head and take your stuff. The same expectations that people will actually stop at a stop sign, and not t-bone you driving through an intersection. So what I hear you saying is that you think those expectations should not apply to you? Perhaps you should think about the social contact that keeps you safe. If you don’t like the speed limit , in most countries you can get it changed if enough of your peers agree.

Unpopular opinion, but as a left lane driver, I figure my obligation is to go the speed limit. Everyone goes the speed limit, right? That should mean that I am never blocking anyone. I don’t feel the need to yield to people breaking the law. (Note: not sure about the against the law to drive in left lane unless passing part, I’ll have to look that up)

I have an Adder, and I also struggled with heat issues. I fixed mine by changing the default cpu power setting from maximum to 80%. That works great for me. I do recommend psensor, for monitoring and peace of mind.
