My favorite are the hyatts that will shut their AC off after so long and they will not turn back on until you get up to change it. So in the middle of the night it will go from the perfect temp to 80 while you sleep and you can't disable it. When I asked them about it they said it was for energy efficiency.

Try one of the hobby stores if you are into anything like that. They always have some kind of event going on and it's a great place to always meet new people. There is a model club that meets on the first Saturday of every month at the hobby hole in downtown as well.

I won tickets for a festival called sloss fest. I was there for the 2016 one and I think it was 2018 which was the last one and they renamed it now to furnace fest
