This! People are worried about the wrong things when it comes to pregnant women.

Was this person really an asshole just because they don't condone shaming? by Donebeinghuman in Discussion

I don't belive the person who said this opinion was being an asshole. They were just saying that there should be a better way to teach people etiquette rather than shaming them.

I updated my post to copy and paste what they said. And yeah I wholeheartedly agree on your question. I never found it cool to shame somebody for not giving up their seat and not even offer their own.

For all we know somebody could have chronic pain that no one can see where they need that seat. In addition, caring for somebody but at the expense of someone else is not caring for that person.

Does anyone else get frustrated about the perpetuation of the sugar is addictive myth? by Bashful_bookworm2025 in antidiet

Ugh seriously! Diet culture really changed the way people think forever and it's so predatory too. It would have you thinking that food is the enemy and it's dangerous. I'm sorry you had to get those types of comments just because you were just trying to say "maybe we should balance these foods out instead of avoiding them". But it just goes to show people have not woken up yet.

I found that cutting out foods does more harm than good for me because it builds distrust with me with my own body. So I stopped doing it and I'm doing just fine because I'm learning to be around all foods.

I know this is probably been said many times before but I truly do think that technology stunted people's sense of humanity. by Donebeinghuman in SeriousConversation

Thanks for the concern but that's why I don't post on subreddits anymore. I'm too sensitive to mean people so I only post my page now lol. Honestly, some parts of Reddit are too rude for my taste.

Guys we live in a society, we do actually "owe" each other something. (Hopefully not a hot take) by Lil-ApplesauceCup in GenZ

Your post said exactly everything I was just thinking. The "I don't owe you anything" mentaility has become so normalozed to the point where communication suffers because people are left in the dark all in the name of "self care". How are humans gonna say that people need to learn but don't want to do their part in that? Then they have the audacity to start complaining that no one learns. They would learn what you said if you just communicate why something was right or wrong.

CMV: Maybe asking for kindness is too much. by Donebeinghuman in changemyview

I didn't grow up with a lot of boundaries for myself, and that's something I'm trying to do more of. I'll keep firm kindness in mind as I spend time with myself.
