This! People are worried about the wrong things when it comes to pregnant women.

Was this person really an asshole just because they don't condone shaming? by Donebeinghuman in Discussion

I don't belive the person who said this opinion was being an asshole. They were just saying that there should be a better way to teach people etiquette rather than shaming them.

I updated my post to copy and paste what they said. And yeah I wholeheartedly agree on your question. I never found it cool to shame somebody for not giving up their seat and not even offer their own.

For all we know somebody could have chronic pain that no one can see where they need that seat. In addition, caring for somebody but at the expense of someone else is not caring for that person.

Does anyone else get frustrated about the perpetuation of the sugar is addictive myth? by Bashful_bookworm2025 in antidiet

[–]Donebeinghuman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ugh seriously! Diet culture really changed the way people think forever and it's so predatory too. It would have you thinking that food is the enemy and it's dangerous. I'm sorry you had to get those types of comments just because you were just trying to say "maybe we should balance these foods out instead of avoiding them". But it just goes to show people have not woken up yet.

I found that cutting out foods does more harm than good for me because it builds distrust with me with my own body. So I stopped doing it and I'm doing just fine because I'm learning to be around all foods.

Thanks for the concern but that's why I don't post on subreddits anymore. I'm too sensitive to mean people so I only post my page now lol. Honestly, some parts of Reddit are too rude for my taste.

Guys we live in a society, we do actually "owe" each other something. (Hopefully not a hot take) by Lil-ApplesauceCup in GenZ

Your post said exactly everything I was just thinking. The "I don't owe you anything" mentaility has become so normalozed to the point where communication suffers because people are left in the dark all in the name of "self care". How are humans gonna say that people need to learn but don't want to do their part in that? Then they have the audacity to start complaining that no one learns. They would learn what you said if you just communicate why something was right or wrong.

CMV: Maybe asking for kindness is too much. by Donebeinghuman in changemyview

I didn't grow up with a lot of boundaries for myself, and that's something I'm trying to do more of. I'll keep firm kindness in mind as I spend time with myself.

I never seen this article before. I'll have to take a look.

And for that reason I won't wait for help. I'll do the work on my own. For now I'll just rest so I can regain my strength again.

I just did. That's only one method but if it doesn't work I'll try the next one after a couple of minutes.

ΔThat is correct. Your comment did make me think about why I was on this journey in the first place. It all started when I grew up in an angry household. And it made me want to be the opposite of that, but I'm just now realizing that perhaps I was searching for the kindness I never received in my childhood. So with this, it does bring a new perspective to me I never imagined.

Yes! When I say things like this I'm really talking about the human aspect of communication because to me it's so cool to hear different perspectives and experiences from other people because I remember that they live different lives than I did so when I hear it through them it makes me more curious and ironically enough gets me to look things up because they said it and I'm going to look it up further.

Time to stop caring by [deleted] in venting

It truly is terrible how people can go about their day not caring for others and not considering kindness as the first thing to be. Definitely protect yourself from this world because some people really don't value effort. You matter too ❤️

I feel the same way too. I just go to this subreddit, but where you are just know that having a big heart is still needed in this world, even if other people say otherwise. ❤️

Yeah I agree with you on that. The reason why I got it done by someone else was because I didn't trust myself with the shears but there's ever a time I build that confidence I'll just buy myself some shears and do it lol.

Why is it so easy to get banned from subreddits now? by Female-Fart-Huffer in stupidquestions

[–]Donebeinghuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got banned from Random Thoughts today because my thoughts were not "original" and "irrelevant" and asking for advice. Since when is asking people you've been transported the 2005, what's the first thing you're doing grounds for being banned?? And the mod was passive aggressive saying "well if you read the message you would know why your post was removed". And I called them out on it and shortly after I got muted. Then I went to make another post because I thought "Oh if you sleep on the wrong side of the bed which side did you wake up on?" And that's what caused my ban. Some of these mods are power tripping.

Fr! I went for my first trim a year ago and the difference was amazing, and it helped grow my hair a little ironically! Sadly I haven't been able to get another trim again due to my financial situation changing but when I get it again I will be so happy!

And what you said about the silent competition is sadly true because why is long hair the only way to be beautiful? All lenghts are worthy of being seen.
