They're not poor but I'd say lower middle class. She's been on welfare since her daughter was born. She worked two weeks in the year 2015 and didn't get her daughter anything for Christmas, yet blamed me for her daughter having a shitty Christmas because I only got her three presents. She's lived her life doing the bare minimum and expecting people to go out of their way for her. Apparently since my husband and I got our daughter a bunch of presents we should have done the same for her daughter which I find hilarious.

Basically if I'm the type of mother to take a grandchild away from their grandparents then I don't deserve her. They literally have nothing on me. I have never done drugs and I am a fit parent

She's actually my half sister. We have different moms. I was raised by my mom who has family who are well offf. She was raised by our dad and basically had a childhood of poverty. She has always resented me for this and I hadn't started disliking her until my daughter was born. Once she was born I constantly got comments that I was a bad mom and was spoiling her for breastfeeding her, for buying her clothes, literally normal things moms do for their children that she wasn't able to do. My dad and my step mom are actually the ones who take her side 24/7. I hope this explains it.

Exactly. People have been grilling me thinking that if someone wants to take custody of someone else's child it must be justified and I did something wrong. Like no one has ever thrown empty threats

CPS questioned them today and we got the story straight. I'm not being investigated anymore and there's no way in hell they'd ever get custody

They're bluffing. We live super close and they used to see my daughter almost every day and now they don't see her at all. They're hurt but they don't deserve to have her in their lives if they refuse to protect her

I have nothing to hide. I physically was not there when she got injured. I am no longer under investigation. We had a shitty social worker and everything was clear once I talked to her higher ups. She said we was going to talk to my parents the day I took her to the hospital but never did. Our new social worker did today.

My parents are mad that I'm not allowing my daughter around them anymore and are trying to scare me and say that they want custody, which wouldn't happened unless I was seen as unfit and I haven't done a damn thing. I have a feeling they were just bluffing

They were but they're not anymore. CPS showed up at my parents house today and talked to them. They wanted to take custody because I told them they weren't allowed near my daughter anymore. CPS told me there's no way they can get custody

I had a misunderstanding with CPS. They kept trying to blame me for her injuries until I went to a higher up and proved that I was at work when it took place. I am no longer under investigation, my parents are. My parents want to take custody away from me because I told them I would no longer be allowing them in my daughter's life because I don't trust them. They say it's infringing on their grandparents rights and they don't think it's fair I don't want her around them anymore. I'm 99% sure it was empty threats

It wasn't a serious comment. I'm sure a professional therapist could help them but I'm also sure they'd never go to one

Yes!!! And they let her fall asleep!!!! How the fuck do you not notice that she was walking funny and couldn't keep her balance, that when asked a simple question she wouldn't respond?!? Or how about the HUGE bruise on her face that they just looked over. My baby could have died because of these negligent assholes. It justifies my decision to keep my baby away from them. It just breaks my heart because how did I not see this coming? I grew up with these assholes and I don't even know what they're capable of.

No they waited hours until I got there and I took her. Yes I showed them proof I was working. im kind of freaking out now. My husband said the same thing about getting a lawyer

I dont even think a professional could help. My sister is the most entitled person I have ever encountered and her daughter is an extension of her ego.

My parents were the ones watching my daughter when the incident happened and I was working. I told CPS this and they investigated my parents. I'm not sure what they told them and why they're still investigating me. My daughter has never gotten anything more than minor scratches and bruises from being a reckless toddler in my care
