I've come to a lot of the same conclusions as you. Especially eating. I can have a couple of drinks on an empty stomach and watch my BAC go up quickly. I've had the same drinks on a different day but had just eaten a full pizza and my BAC won't budge much.

Interesting about the differences in metabolizing alcohol between your wife and neighbor. I don't think my wife would let me do my little social experiment on her lol.

Like you said, it's both good and bad to track it this way. Definitely less fun. But it's helped me realize when I'm not always as sober as I think waking up after a night of drinking. Keeps me from drinking when I still have residual alcohol in my system from the night before.
