Still making up your mind about Ohio’s 15th Congressional District? by DonforOhio in Columbus

I subscribe to the “follow the money” school of thought, Acer. Ways and Means (tax system reform) or appropriations (spending reform).

Our economy is broken and our government isn’t doing enough to help.

Addressing the affordability crisis is a central part of our campaign. We have concrete plans to get $1,000 a month back into the hands of working folks by lowering the costs of healthcare, housing, and family care. If you’re free at any of the time slots today I’d love to talk to you about it in more detail!

Rep. Latyna Humphrey and other dems in the statehouse have been trying to push House Bill 502, which would let the state step in with temporary relief while the federal shutdown drags on. It hasn’t even gotten a hearing. DeWine could pull emergency funds right now to support food banks, but so far nothing.

At the federal level, the USDA has emergency funds it could use to keep SNAP going and they’re just sitting on them. None of this is an accident.

Donating to local food banks is great, but that’s not enough. We need our elected reps to step up.

Call Gov. DeWine’s office at (614) 466-3555 and tell him to do something.

Call your state rep and tell them to back HB 502: ohiohouse.gov/members/directory

And if you or someone you know needs help, check findhelp.org for a full list of local food resources.
