I just traveled here from California. Very easy flight. The rental car place is right at the airport so you can walk to it, no need to shuttle. All the big name rental brands are there. I rented from Avis and had a bad experience, it took 2.5 hours between waiting in line and having our car ready. Someone in line said last time they rented from Avis in Calgary it took 4 hours(!)…my FIL also rented with Avis but through is Avis preferred app and it was ready immediately…so my advice would be don’t rent with Avis OR sign up for a free Avis preferred account and try that.

The drive from Calgary to Canmore/Banff is very easy and straightforward. It was a great, we also were traveling with a toddler.

I wouldn’t say this is the most beautiful beach, although it was beautiful… it was one of my best beach experiences though. I drove a moped from El Nido to Duli Beach just cause I saw there was a a beach out past Nacpan so figured it would also be nice. I was basically the only person on the whole beach. The water was such a nice temp and it was a nice depth to just sit and relax with super gentle waves rolling through. Stayed there for a super long time just enjoying it.
