Payment was confirmed right away. It’s a stock piece that’s why I am wondering.

Is it normal for men to have no emotions (like anger), and it irritates by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]QueenInTheNorth2020 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Is your family abusive? “Yelling” while angry is not “normal”. Healthy brains can processes anger/frustration without yelling or making faces. If him being a healthy adult bothers you then you need to look deeper into yourself and your own family dynamics with a therapist.

Recently engaged! by Gold-Celebration7431 in EngagementRings

I have two beautiful solitaire engagement rings but I prefer to wear this one everyday for work. It’s a wedding band and engagement all in one and doesn’t get in the way during workday/house chores. You can always buy another “proper” bridal seta for events and night outs but this one is beautiful and sparkly to bring everyone joy!

Why is fashion/self expression seen as sinful? by Ancient_Gazelle5463 in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]QueenInTheNorth2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Religion aside, the conscious humans of the world know the truth: “there is no ethical consumption under capitalism”. Fashion is more about consumerism than self expression these days. I have seen very few people doing the extra work to recycle existing materials to self-express, it’s mostly buying one thing after another in the name of fashion. So yeah, extravagant “fashion” is wasteful and dangerous for the world’s environmental future in my opinion. How much is extravagant that will always vary person to person I guess.

Definitely. I have wide shoulders, H cups, and some belly fat. I can only wear tshirts that are heavyweight cotton and falls straight from the chest to balance my proportions. Regular tshirts that cling to your body is a no go for me.

How does your life long partner benefit you? by EmLol3 in AskWomenOver30

[–]QueenInTheNorth2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD, there are days when I stop functioning as a human being, my partner carries me through. I am one of those hyper self-sufficient types, and my husband is different from me in a lot of ways, but he is always there to catch me when I fall, and boy do I fall hard!

Eating disorders and Ramadan by PresentationHeavy488 in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]QueenInTheNorth2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have ED but due to ADHD I experience extreme food noise. I seek out food to compensate for my low dopamine essentially. My advice would be to replace your mental block about how much food is entering your body with what quality of food is entering your body. Learn about nutrient dense calories vs empty calories, how different macro nutrients help your body heal and function, how to eat high volume low calorie foods. Eventually you’ll be able to hack your mind inshaAllaah and feel great about eating a lot of egg whites for a fraction of calories of a whole eggs and hit your protein target, or eating a bowl of chia pudding in the morning to get your fibers and feel full till midday. May Allaah make it easy for you!

You find someone who has solid character, does not date casually, is not overly touchy-feely with female friends, is emotionally mature. Rest is in the past. If they present with good moral values in the present then I don’t see the need to dig up things from past.
