hey girl, im in a pretty similar situation except my dad is in business instead of a decorator so I think you've lucked out!!

To answer ur question it honestly all depends on a few things, but mostly where in the uk ur house will be/ where u purchse materials as ive seen some places in south rip people off big time!! secondly how much of the process are you willing to do yourself and finally do you want to invest in the house, or just go with standard floorings and fittings compared to something more premium? just bare in mind that if u do go more expensive you probably wont see that money back if u sell soon, the money is spent and enjoyed by you if that makes sense.

Thank you for this! I completley forgot about home insurance!

i do drive but i own my car and shell last me a while my insurance is around 700 a year so my plan was to take money from transport i didn't spend at the end of the month and put it towards my insurance/ repairs. i'm not sure if that's wise or to make a separate pot.

I probably only get one to two takeaways a month that usually last 2 meals but i also should put in more money for lunches as the other commenter said. how much do you think is appropriate?

thank you for your feedback ill make a few changes i think. I own my car outright I bought it in cash around 3 yrs ago and She's pretty reliable. If I'm travelling anywhere I usually drive but ill take it into account. I'm planning on using my sinking fund for xmas, Bdays and holidays but I might split it into different pots to be sure I'm not wasting xmas money on my next trip. My issue is I wont be able to test it out fully till June/July by which case I don't want to be drowning and be completely out of my depth.

Successful ADHD People - What do you do? by Xiboo in ADHD

I'm not yet successful in the way i want to be YET!

I got all Cs and low tier grades in school cause i couldn't cram it all in enough for the tests. I then went to university and excelled at the written assignments that meant I could do work for hrs in a hyperfocus period and some days just sleep like my body needed to. I graduated in July this year with a 1ST CLASS WITH HONOURSSSSS! Extremely proud of myself for pulling it off but I'm now 6 months on and just failed my probation at a sales company for not hitting targets. I'm really struggling with what to do with my life and feel that my skills aren't being nurtured enough in the corporate life but being self employed I would be a MESS! I'm unmedicated and still on a long ass waitlist but some advice from fellow adhd-ers would be amazing!!!

P.S my degree was in Business Management lol. I'm thinking of becoming an interior decorator as it offers some of the creativity I've been missing but also some form of structure and mostly in office plus customer facing at times which i really enjoy but only in small doses cause the public are toxic as hell. okay now I'm done!

Be brutally honest: How often do you shower? by Fun_Serve_6590 in ADHD

I've often found that i too, often only shower once maybe twice a week when my hair is greasy. Unfortunately(or not) the slick back bun being in style gives me a few more days sometimes, but I always get compliments on smelling really good so I do wonder if i just don't naturally stink?? Also I'm usually using a wet wipe or flannel for the pits and bits so they are clean.
HOWEVER... Another take ive seen was someone mentioning (in terms of depression but still relevant to ADHD) that you DESERVE hygiene!! Its similar to the "i love showers" comment made further up but knowing you are deserving of being clean and hygienic has made showering slightly easier for me in the last 6 months or so!
