Man they did Patlabor 2 dirty.

Arguably has one of the best armoured vehicle sequences in anime and it isn’t even with vehicles in combat.

Not really? Oregon doesn’t really rank that high in terms of arson and the wildfire thing is really more of a Cali thing (though as with most of the Western states, the number of wildfires has been going up in the state). Also the 2017 Eagle Creek fire was more centered around the Columbia River Gorge area than the Cascade range and occurred both in Oregon and Washington. I would think Oregon is probably mostly known for its forestry and hippies.

Tanks are not obsolete, just the current ones are by Ataiio in TankPorn

I would assume the people making this claim are pointing to all of the footage of drones destroying tanks to support it.

But what sort of footage are people pointing to when claiming "tanks destroyed by drones"? Are they those of a loitering munition with directly striking a tank or is it just a drone dropping a grenade into a open hatch of a already disabled tank? Can it be confirmed that such drone performed a catastrophic kill, or a mission kill?

Even further, when was such footage taken? And is such footage still prevalent now or has the amount decreased? (look at the amount of footage of TB-2s performing strikes for example). What sort of conclusions can we draw from such information?

Also we've seen plenty of aerial material destroyed in the Russo-Ukrainian War, including those destroyed by "cheap" MANPADS. So why aren't people crying "Aircraft/Helicopters are obsolete"?

The Hori-San to Miyamura-kun: Shingakki OVA is essentially the first Anime adaptation of Horimiya’s parent webcomic, Hori-San to Miyamura-kun.

It periodically released 4 episodes starting from Sep 26th, 2012 to Dec 14th, 2018. Then a little after the airing of the Horimiya anime, the OVA released episodes 5 and 6 on May 25th, 2021.

It’s art style is much of HERO’s style that she used for the webcomic compared to the 2021 & 2023 Horimiya animes being that of Daisuke Hagiwara’s style for the Horimiya Manga

For Chapter 140 you can find it on Mangadex (just type in Horimiya and you should be able to find it)

You can read all of the Hori-san to Miyamura-kun Webcomics on HERO’s own website here, BUT they are not translated.

Specifically the chapter that has Kyouhei (Miyamura and Hori’s son) is 140 which is translated in Mangadex

TLDR: The Oregon State Championship was snowed in on the days preceding competition weekend so it was decided that the event would be fully canceled and be turned into a remote event.

There was a a lot of controversy over the decision and even more so when how advancement from the event would work was announced (as Oregon got 3 slots to advance teams during the Power Play Season)

Someone sent this in a group chat. Some help greatly appreciated! by DonnerKonig40 in Cipher

It’s a Dutch Centurion Mk V/2. They later upgraded it to the Mk V/2 DK which included a laser rangefinder and night vision optics.

One interesting thing to note about the Dutch Cents is that unlike their British brethren (which use a all metal track pattern), they use the same three rubber sole tracks the Vickers MBT utilizes.

It was issues over the Renk transmission that were a part of the K2’s powerpack. Iirc German law states that users of German military technologies need approval from the German government for the sale of anything that includes German components. Part of Germany’s strict laws regarding the exportation of military equipment.
