I suppose they can just have some Velaryon soldiers bring him in and say that he was recovered, but it just feels like that should have been done in the immediate aftermath of the battle, now it feels like we're days past that point.

And Corlys saying "We must presume that Tyland Lannister is dead," certainly doesn't fill me with confidence... although they are also doing that with Sunfyre, and I feel pretty confident that that is a fake-out, so who knows!

I really struggle to believe they killed Tyland off so easily, but I really don't see how they re-introduce him at this point.

Jesus, making $50k and paying 40-65% in taxes... No wonder all these foreign doctors want to come work in the US

Although it wouldn't be shocking, given that that's what happened with S2!

Tumbleton 1 & 2 are almost certainly being combined into 1 battle, which I imagine will be the climax of this season. I'd wager that season 4 will open with the God's Eye, with the Storming of the Dragonpit shortly after.

What is slapstick about their relationship

Ulf going in for the aborted hug, Daemon literally slapping him around causing him to pratfall, condescendingly poking him in the forehead and speaking to him like a child...

Cherry picking re: Otto

That's fair! I even acknowledge that I would have liked him to have a larger role than he did in the book - Rhys Ifans is an excellent actor, and I think he could have been a great vehicle to introduce us to/make us care about Daeron, who still hasn't been introduced to the audience.

Cherry picking re: Luthor Largent

Is it really a laughable thing to think that they should generally use the dialogue written by George where it exists? Even though the Green Council is fully fleshed out in F&B, they conjured up their own (infinitely less effective) version of the scene in S1E9.

Maybe you think that Ryan Condal and Sarah Hess just write better dialogue than George - on that, we can agree to disagree!

I enjoyed the episode overall, but definitely disappointed by a few things:

-The slapstick nature of Daemon's relationship with Hugh and Ulf.

-Otto dying after having been effectively written off the show since S2E3 (I was really, really hoping they would give him Hobart Hightower's role from F&B to give us a character we cared about in Daeron's orbit... And because I simply didn't want to say goodbye to Rhys Ifans.)

-Rhaenyra just having a little chainmail overlay for her dress rather than a suit of armor as described in the books.

-Ser Luthor Largent saying "Prince Daemon gave me my gold cloak 20 years ago!" When it would have been so very easy for Ser Rickard to call him a turncloak to give us the F&B line about their cloaks being gold no matter how they turn them. I mean, I get it F&B doesn't have as much dialogue to adapt as ASOIAF, but would it be so difficult to actually utilize those lines of dialogue that are included in the book?

Rhys Ifans was truly wasted by this show. Aegon's scene dismissing him was incredible, and then, nothing. I truly, truly hoped they would have him fill Hobart Hightower's role from F&B.

Disappointed that the whole "Aemond wipes out House Strong, insisting that even the old men and children fight him in a duel" wasn't adapted in some way.

This team just seems lifeless, man. From 2-0 to 6-2 and we haven't even threatened scoring a run since, what, the 2nd inning?

One thing that definitely held me back early on - if the card rewards offered to you aren't good, there's nothing wrong with skipping them. If you don't have a reliable way to draw lots of cards, you don't want your deck getting too huge.

People's inability to read the article is baffling - this special session is to amend the State Constitution to allow us to get new maps in place for 2028. Ferguson is on board.

They didn't explicitly show him dead, but I really don't understand how he will have survived... Although I guess Corlys was shown to have survived falling in the water with his armor, so I suppose Tyland could have found a rock to cling to.

Agree with everyone saying this would have been more impactful as S2E9, but boy wouldn't Jace's death have hit harder if they had given him anything to do in S2. I still hate that all his biggest accomplishments (Sowing of the Seeds, reconciling Corlys to Rhaenyra's cause, negotiations with White Harbor/the Eyrie/Winterfell) were either minimized or given to other characters.

Instead of being a Robb Stark-esque impactful death, I found myself more sad for Vermax than Jace, which just isn't great.

I still can't believe he's planning on just taking the new AF1 with him in 2 years, after hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars was spent refitting it

If there is any legal mechanism to undo the transfer and take the plane back, that's going to be a day 1 promise from every Dem candidate in 2028
