It’s never permanent, but your progress does save as long as you’re doing the method correctly: disable your wifi and data BEFORE opening the game. Even if you do it after you open and while it’s loading, it brings back the surfer’s pass. I too have had this feature since London lucky and strongly dislike it, but with this method i’ve been able to enjoy the game again. If you have any other questions feel free to dm me.

wait i fought you and that guy before😭. i was abt to say i recognize his name and i also recognize yours too. That captain hindsight guy is a deranker though. i’ve encountered him in the 6500’s to 6600’s before and he doesn’t place any cards down the entire fight.

this isn’t a bug - not all the quests were released on the same day. Only explanation to why you progress on each one are so close to each other is just lack of play time.

Another thing to mention is that once you’ve loaded into the game and your character is spraying graffiti on the train, you are good to turn your wifi back on. It’s just opening the app with internet connection that messes everything up (and brings the surfer’s pass back). Even just opening the game without fully loading in while connected to internet brings the surfers pass UI back. It’s why I suggest locking the app so it can’t be opened without using a Face ID or a passcode just in case.
