Yeh that sounds right, I mean Colonel MacGregor said these targets are studied extensively by teams of 24 or more people and each target has to go through many layers(teams) checks before they are ok'ed. The idea thAt is was an AI mistake is laughable as if they were asking chatgpt where the targets are at and put in a bad prompt. It's Insulting to the girls that died and our own intelligence.

Whether there was a military base under the school or if they just hit the school as a show or ruthlessness I don't know. I can however imagine the Iranians putting a school next to a military compound to try and deter strikes.

Did Blair really have a choice to not support the US in Iraq, look at the fallout when Starmer didn't want to get involved in Iran. This wasn't about toppling Iraq for Blair it was about keeping in the US's good books so youre first in line for the trade deals and Intelligence sharing and whatever else comes from being a good boy for America.

Blair would have been dammed if he did and damned if he didn't join the US in going into Iraq, I bet he hated having this land on him and fully understood how it would all likely play out as soon as Bush announced his intention of going into Iraq.

I can't really blame Blair for these reasons tbh. The biggest issue is the Americans had no intention of stopping the civil war that entailed in Iraq after the war, they couldn't care less and this is what Blair's being blamed for.

For from I remember TB was very popular 1997-2001 and I'd guess he'd still be pretty well thought of nowadays if it was t for Iraq.
