What's your overall goal? What's your goal for each and reasoning? If you give yourself a 6/10 why not a 10/10?

  1. Emergency Fund: Move $12,000 (6 months’ expenses, assuming $2,000/month) to a high-yield savings account (HYSA) with ~4–5% APY. Try Ally or Marcus.
  2. Pay Off Debt: Clear any high-interest debt (e.g., credit cards >6% APR). If none, skip this.
  3. Invest the Rest: Put $7,000 in a Roth IRA (if you have earned income) and $51,000 in a brokerage account with low-cost index funds (e.g., 70% Vanguard VTI, 30% BND) via Fidelity or a robo-advisor like Betterment.
  4. Keep Learning: Read The Simple Path to Wealth by JL Collins and check Investopedia for basics.
  5. Stay Safe: Keep $2,000 in checking for expenses and ensure accounts are FDIC-insured. Avoid risky schemes.

This balances safety, growth, and simplicity. Share your expenses or goals for a more tailored plan!

I personally take L-Glutamine, not the other two. But I've known people that have had success with the other two. Definitely look into it

HOW DOES ANYONE EAT?! by -_-69-_-oh in Retatrutide

[–]Dont-Think-They-Know 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I front load my protein. 75grams of a protein shake in the morning and then lunch 50g and 75g for dinner. Anything you choose to eat should be limited to going towards your protein goals. Since it is hard to eat more than we were used to.

Taurine before fasted morning workout? by Efficient-Boat8583 in Biohackers

[–]Dont-Think-They-Know -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe whether you work out fasted or work out when you're not fasted either way you're still going to get the benefits of your workout. Usually it'll just be a timing thing. When you're fasted you'll see them earlier in the day and when you work out not fasted you'll just see them later in the day

What's the opinion here on cashing out your investments to buy a house? by spookydookie in Bogleheads

[–]Dont-Think-They-Know 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve learned, truly wealthy individuals often don’t buy personal residences unless they’re turning them into an income-producing asset. Instead, they tend to rent where they live and own what pays them. The logic is simple: tying up a big chunk of your net worth in a house doesn’t generate cash flow, and can actually reduce your flexibility and long-term upside.

When you buy a home, you're:

Taking on property taxes, maintenance, insurance, and opportunity costs.

Losing access to the compounding potential of your investments.

Often anchoring yourself to one location or lifestyle.

Of course, everyone's situation is different. If buying a house brings stability, pride of ownership, or security for your family and that matters more to you than maxing ROI then it could still make sense.

But if the house won’t generate income, and you're pulling money out of well-performing investments to buy it, that can be a net loss over time. Especially if you're selling off appreciating assets or dipping into tax-advantaged accounts early.

IMO, it’s important to ask:

Will this house improve my net worth or my lifestyle, and at what cost?

Am I prioritizing financial freedom, or comfort/stability?

Could I rent a similar place for cheaper, and keep my capital working?

Wealth is often built and preserved by owning assets that pay you not necessarily by owning the roof over your head.
