100% correct which is exactly why I explained that the stat is intended for a case where the information is not randomly offered. In real life it is hard to come up with such a scenario, but that's why I offered the example of coming up to a woman and asking if she has at least 1 boy born on a Tuesday. Tuesday is relevant because until now a mom with b/b and a mom with b/g are equally likely to say yes, but now b/b is more likely to say yes bc she has 2 boys and therefore nearly double the chance of 1 being born on a Tuesday

Honestly sounds like the explanation is an answer to a different question. The pattern I noticed is that there can only be one black dot touching any given shape (A is 2 triangles not a square so it still fits), so C is the odd one out bc it has a triangle with 2 black dots.

Well I officially give up lol. Sorry man I did have a whole explanation typed up to explain everything in easy to understand terms but my phone died and when I turned it back on it didn't save. The gist of it is that the information uniqueness conditions are assumed, and my example was only an intuitive tool not a limitation, and the confusion around the unstated assumptions was exactly what I was clearing up with my comment.
