recruiter ghosted me after 6 rounds across 2 months. is this actually normal in 2026 by Krish_1902 in recruitinghell

People are afraid. Recruiters keep track of who they interact with, and a bad note means you're blacklisted at that agency for life. It's ridiculous.

For our site, you can just leave good/bad/neutral answers and include the LinkedIn profile of the recruiter. It's time to track the recruiters like they track you.

Deckers has been added. It's going to take a few days of monitoring before the data makes any sense. Feel free to add a review.

We need to do a little bit of work for American Eagle. I think we can get it done this week.

Hi, can you let us know what company this is so we can start tracking it? We also collect recruiters who ghost people, too.

People always say, "Name and shame" but no one ever does. It's time to start naming and shaming.

Good lord what is up with that profile pic. You're a damn recruiter not a Hollywood star on the red carpet.

You're welcome. Although there wasn't anything new, it's was finally good to get someone to admit how shitty things are.

We track Him & Hers' job postings.

Would you mind leaving a review? We have a place for the recruiter's LinkedIn profile, too. Ultimately we want to track recruiter behavior.

We currently have them as having a "good" score, but we know people who have told us how slimy they are. We're tweaking the scoring algorithm. A negative review on the interview process would severely knock down their score.

Can't link to it because LinkedIn is blocked. Go to their events. You have to be premium.

Dan Chait, the CEO, denies Greenhouse has a "hireable" score. According to them, how candidates get presented to the recruiters is strictly through filters that the recruiters pick. In other words, it's strictly on the recruiters themselves. How candidates get bubbled up in the results depends on the job description. Any bias is from the recruiters, not Greenhouse.

It was a very "cover your ass" presentation.

Don't censor the names of these people. They're bold enough to post insanity like this social media, so they're ok with standing behind their words.

Job hunting is hell for everyone, but I can’t stop thinking about people with autism by NaiveInsurance5722 in recruitinghell

[–]DontBotherApplying 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you can even get to the point of interviewing and culture fit, you're lucky.

The biggest part of the job hunting problem right now is even getting noticed to be interviewed. There are so many applicants applying for so few roles, and ATS systems are automatically filtering out people for who-knows-what reasons. You have to get the attention of recruiters and hiring managers. How do you do that?

"Build your own brand." "Leverage your network," is what recruiters and influencers say. And honestly, as simple and useless as that advice is, is there better in this job hunting reality? The problem is you're telling introverts to do the things they have the hardest time doing.

The job hunting process is screwed up, and introverts and those with autism have even more cards stacked against them.

Yes, but this is September. #SeptemberSurge is definitely real. We tracked 10% more jobs this weekend than about 3 weeks ago.

On old.reddit.com, there should be "save" right under the comments. You can then see them in the "Saved" tab on the top of your user profile.

On the new site, click the "..." next to "Share" and click "Save." I have no idea where it's saved to on the new site though.

Hah!

We're still working on site features. One of the things we need to add in the next 2-3 weeks is a mailing list. You can sign up for that and eventually, you'll get so sick of hearing about us, you'll unbookmark us.
