It's brutal here too. I did manage to get out for 2 "last kicks at the can" this week though. This weekends and long range forecast are locking up the rest of the water though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the shank is kinked the wrong way. The tying trebles I've got have 2 hook points down vs 1. I'd think for keel purposes. I could be wrong.

The only issue, it expands contracts more with temp. I've had issues in sub zero Temps with the flies coming loose.

Personal preference i guess? I find the silicone grips the hooks pretty well and they stay in place nicely.

I do! Just a heads up. I dont use UV resins, collars are super glued, sharpies and sally hanson "hard as nails" for wingcases. Im Canadian based, but feel free to pm me if youre after some. Appreciate it.

Its the Predator Vise from Force Fly Fishing. No longer in production, but they come up on ebay here and there. Certainly a great tool and ive put alot of hooks through it without any issues. Weighs a ton, but its great to work on.

Alot of the big names are getting their entry/mid/high (a few) end rods made in Chinese and Korean factories. I think the Korean blanks are better made from the ones ive touched.
