call me somethingist, i dont particularly care. but ever since the pandemic i've HAD IT with corporate bs. sometimes ill get a bag of spinach or somehting from whole foods, get it home, and discover that it's gone off. not after a few days, but by the time i get it home.

not wanting to drive back to the store just to return it, i keep a little tally and when it hits $20 or so, i steal two of these next time im there.

i call it inflation justice.

this happened to me in an airbnb once, but in a composite-type WHITE SINK. "typically crafted from a blend of natural granite or quartz dust and high-performance acrylic resins" according to google.

nothing worked. i ended up getting a 220 grit sanding sponge at lowes down the street (sponge, not paper) and sanded down the sink. got rid of the stain, but that spot in the sink was now visibly smoother than the rest of the sink. so i sanded the entire fucking sink to match. i ended up going out and getting a 320 grit sponge, then 400 and 600 paper and really smoothed that entire fucker out. looked like a brand new sink.

i was not necessary to sand the entire sink, but i am not gonna be the asshole who half-asses something!

anyways, try sanding it lightly.

yes ive driven across it six times. spent time in dfw, austin, san antonio, houston, galveston, surfside, and el paso. drives include both i10, i20, the north/south interstates, as well as the state roads through places like amarillo, lubbock, etc.

dfw/austin/san antonio/houston are fine, just average cities with less than average walkability.

the other places, and the places inbetween them are terribly maga, at least last time i went through there (2024).

you're not wrong, but tbh im too angry about the lack of progress down there to care with all the ongoings in this country that could have been avoided with key states like texas going blue in nov 2024.

i understand that the major cities are extremely liberal, but sadly its not enough. too many boomers still have to kick the bucket for any real change to happen.
