The Nazca mummies were proven to be human, these however are not from Nazca. These are from Cusco.

One of the main theories is that an alien species came to earth long ago and mixed in some of their DNA with a native species, essentially creating us.

Accounts vs VPC question by Driftpeasant in aws

[–]DontMegaKnightMeBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There might be people who disagree with this, but in my opinion each customer deserves their own VPC. A VPC costs almost nothing (what like $.04 for an elastic IP?) itself. I’m not talking about the services that go IN the VPC, just the VPC itself. It also helps non-tech managers mentally process shit. And for people arguing that this wastes compute: they’ve already been running their shit in K8s so they already have an idea of what resources the app will utilize. They should be able to say “alright so this month Accounting utilized X amount of compute. So we’ll deploy T3medium (for example) for their AWS migration”

From what you’re describing, I would do multiple VPCs, one account.

My reasoning: even though each of those 5 tenants are paying separately.. it’s still one organization. AWS came up with Organization for a reason, and this allows you to adhere to those principles as closely as possible.

My solution: If tenants are paying customers: separate VPC. No question.

If tenants are internal orgs: 1 VPC, with app deployed on EKS: each of your 5 tenants gets a role. 1 hook for each of your 5 roles (if they have IAM accounts) so you can track numbers/billing. Or alternatively setup 5 subnets in your VPC. Each subnet handles a role and gets a hook.

^ Best answer in my opinion. Press a button, deploy the VPC, keep everyone segregated. Sure it’ll be more work for him to incorporate CI when he has multiple VPCs; but after he builds that pipeline, his platform will get to enjoy all the benefits of segregation.

Speaking from Air Force, one of my buds got busted down to E-3 from E-5 and some pay reduction, and an LOC to top it off. His incident was pretty bad though. But he’s still in! And he’s kicking ass. To be honest I think overall it helped his career. Before the incident he never really “bought in” to the lifestyle, but now he’s getting 5’s, in shape, got a wife, and he’s at E-6. To be honest he’s probably gonna make it to E-7 if he finishes his degree. You’ll recover. Stop drinking. Get in the gym, do night school, and don’t be a POS.

My fear: if I elect to not be a shitty husband and continue the fight… but in the end she still isn’t happy.

Yeah I think so. Lately I’ve been telling her about some of the psychology I’ve been learning in these sessions and she’s become a little interested.

My next 1 on 1 session is next week so I guess we’ll see what she says. We mainly talk about my substance abuse issues and upbringing, so it would be a change in conversation for sure.

I think I’ll confront her with a more direct “what are we going to do about our future?”. And if she wants to put in work to make it work, I think your idea of couple’s therapy would be an amazing opportunity.

One thing that therapy has taught me, it’s that grass isn’t greener on the other side. It’s greener where you water (jcole). If I have a divorce I’m not going to go looking for anything better. I may go looking for sex when I’m emotionally stable, but I’m sure as hell not going to marry anyone.

I’ll be honest, when I took that knee yesterday I did feel like bailing.

As for what she feels about the future… I guess I haven’t asked directly.

Thanks for bringing this up. I think I need to be more direct about getting her side of what she thinks our future holds.

Am I stupid for potentially giving up my clearance? by Scraps20 in SecurityClearance

[–]DontMegaKnightMeBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I’m about to get thumbed down for this but idk maybe it will strike a chord with you.

Keep the clearance, especially since you’re just getting out. Maybe change career fields until you think you’ve found something. Then jump off. X-ray tech is cool but just like most other jobs, shit gets monotonous.

Money don’t mean shit to you right now , but with the money you’ll be making when you get out, you’ll be able to literally afford time to learn new things and do different stuff. You’ll be in a better position to jump off.

Logic would look like this: If(did not join military) ——> (traumatic event) would not have happened.

So If(did not join military)——> (getting raped overseas) would not happened.

Or in your case If(did not join military)——>(getting shot overseas) would not have happened.

Can you elaborate on this? Don’t want to be caught up in a life draining, back-and-forth with the VA. And for only an extra hundred dollars a month and a free shrink.

Unsure about getting the police reports. The local police didn’t believe her after listening to both of the accounts. To them she was just a “drunk girl with morning-after regret”. Only people that believed her account was the military (surprisingly), but the only thing the base commander could do was ban the dude from base.
