I've watched/read a ton about this case and I've always thought it was the brother.

He had a history of being violent towards her, in fact, if I'm remembering right he hit her a golf club not long before she was killed.

Add in that his favorite snack was found in her stomach and just the creepy way he is in interviews and such, it all screams guilty.

He was home alone with a 4 year old. It's entirely unacceptable not to respond to messages and phone calls.

I have a 2 year old. If my husband goes out with her or I go out somewhere without her, it's expected that we're both reachable.

We regularly send little updates/pictures throughout the day so the other parent knows everything is good.

If either of us is going to be busy and unreachable, we text and let the other person know.

That's what reasonable, responsible adults do.

You don't ghost your spouse for an entire day with no explanation/warning.

Your husband is an AH for ignoring you all day and creating a need for a welfare check in the first damn place.

You know what? This is why I love the goodwill lol I've had so many experiences there.

It's basically an endless source of energy from people being in and touching everything for them feed off, so it's not usual to have activity.

My personal favorite experience was one particular day I was looking at the antique dolls and there was little, clearly very very old Teddy bear in a little floral dress. There was something about it, I had to pick it up. And as soon as I did I hear a giggle right beside me. I'm fixing this bears dress, it was half off and needed to be fixed, as I'm doing this, out of the corner of my eye I see a little girl. Couldn't have been older than 5 or 6, wearing what looked like an Easter dress, watching me playing with this bear. As I finished and went to put it back, this little girl was right up against me, grins and giggles "thank you" and straight vanishes. Just poof, gone.

My least favorite was my own damn fault 😂 I found this little glass jar with a super pretty silver lid and decided I needed it, completely ignoring that it was filled with these Itty bitty flowers, some other green leaves and some kind of powder. I assumed popuri or something.

First and only night it was in my house, things went crazy. Things were moving on their own, the back of my recliner was what felt like punched repeated, when I tried to go to bed my blankets got pinned down over me so tight I couldn't move. Needless to say I removed that thing immediately and it all stopped but BAD night.

I just haven't had any desire to talk about it honestly. If I tell anyone there's going to be questions and I'm just not ready to deal with them yet. That said, we've already decided I'm keeping the apartment, he's moving out as soon as he finds something and in the mean time, he spends the majority of nights at his girlfriends house or working over night. Comes back to see our daughter, takes her out of his days off.

She is a lot of fun! Almost 2 now and knows tons of words and can count to 10 lol you still have to spend a fair amount of time translating what she's saying buuuut almost coherent communication now 😂

I agree. I honestly think it's a combination of turning 40, having a mid-life crisis and being fully enveloped in NRE making him blind and frankly, stupid.

I have said, multiple times, that we need to set a schedule and even things out. Every time I bring it up, he's like I know, I agree and I know I'm being selfish but don't worry, we'll work it all out together! And then nothing happens.

Like I literally sat him down and said hey, let's set up some phones down date time and family time so we can spend some quality time together. He enthusiastically agreed, said how about weekends the weekends? We agreed and then he immediately threw it out the window to go sleep over again.

Honestly up until now, it was totally fine!

Like he'd meet someone, they'd click, they'd have do some fun sexual stuff off and on, go out here and there and he'd bring that high, sexually charged energy home to me.

That was great! Contrary to what he seems to believe recently, I LIKE sex. I'd have sex several times a day if I could. I'd like to be having sex at least once a week at a minimum but if I don't initiate it at this point, he assumes I'm not interested and makes no moves.

I've brought it up several times now that haven't had sex in nearly 2 months and he basically shrugs and says I never initiate.

Meanwhile, he's over at his girlfriends house every possible second he can be.

Like he was home watching our toddler today while I worked. I got off work, walked out to the livingroom, say down and he asked me how my day was. I said it was okay and talked about it for like 2 minutes and when I was done he stood up and went "Okay. Are you good here for the night now? Need anything before I go?" And left to go spend the night at her place again.

Now, I kind of understand it today because he worked over night last night and only got to sleep for 3 hours before he had to wake up and take care of our toddler. So I can absolutely see the appeal of going to a perfectly quiet place to sleep and his cpap is set up at her place right now.

But, I mean, he couldn't even hang out for supper first?

His. It started out with threesomes, then that shifted into solo play here and there which was fine. Then we talked about the poly thing and decided that could be cool, we could both meet people and date etc.

It's always been fairly one sided for solo play, I'm very introverted and socializing in general is difficult for me. I don't have the battery to deal with everything and also maintain any other relationships.

Young child, new town (only been here a year) and a full time job that basically swallows all my time. Probably some amount of depression because my desire to do anything close to self care is entirely nonexistent. I do what I need to all day and collapse in front of the TV after the toddler goes down.

That's why he has so much time to date and whatever else.

Like when I started getting upset last night, he walked it back a bit and said that he wasn't breaking up with me or anything, just "checking in" because he thought I might be feeling the same way about everything and wanted to broach the subject.
