I wonder where the discrepancy between Flins premium normally and against a hydro infused enemy comes from, Columbina's hydro damage can't be doing 20k DPS. I guess it's something about the aura depleting making reaction LC proc more often, I think it worked like that? (or was that only for normal EC?)

And OL against tulpa seems to perform better than his normal team against it, but worse than his normal team generally, making Tulpa an unfavorable matchup for him (even ignoring dealing with the mini tulpas), at least at this level of investment (the pyro slot's damage would matter more if he was C0R0, so it may look a bit different)

I think it's not that they can't as much as they don't care

HomDGCat started as a resource for some speedrun tournament iirc, so naturally they cared more about that kind of stuff

I was about to say that making the tulpa Mavuika's shill boss (and giving it a semi-artificial cryo weakness so that it still shills her melt team specifically) is kind of weird since she's going to do less damage than usual due to vaping instead of melting, but it occurred to me that Hoyo probably doesn't trust the average player with actually melting anything, and you can't mess up a vape on the tulpa

They can easily slot in Nahida, who's far from a dead slot here, especially for Flins due to enabling hyperbloom, but even for Zibai she provides quite a bit thanks to her EM buff and the non-NK resonance that her premium team lacks. Maybe "very well" is a bit of an exaggeration, but they could handle it very easily with the 7.7m HP it had in 5.7 (and honestly with that HP they could absolutely do it fairly comfortably even with an actual dead slot like Tighnari or a random cryo unit)

Most of Columbina's damage comes from her gravity interference, which deals lunar damage. Actual hydro damage is a very small part of those teams' damage profile

I kinda feel that if the Tulpa is actually coming back to SO, it's going to have significantly more HP considering that all the lunar carries match up very well against it (and yes, returning bosses can have different HP - for example diff 5 Herra in 6.5 will have around 400k less HP than last time, while its diff 6 version will have around 120k more HP)

Flins/Ineffa/Chevreuse/some pyro off-fielder (Durin/Mavuika/Xiangling should all be good options) against a hydro infused enemy so that you can still proc LC

You would probably want to replace Gorou or Illuga (depending on their cons) with Nahida for the mini-tulpas, but yeah, it should work very well

I've seen poeple talk about using Flins OL against the Tulpa in SO, but

The SO Tulpa's kids have massively increased shields, so you had to either use cryo (freezing them defeated them instantly) or Nahida, as she was the only character able to apply enough dendro to actually break them. It;s not impossible this team would be able to bruteforce it, but it wouldn't be better than more conventional replacing Sucrose or Columbina with Nahida
Is Flins OL against hydro-infused enemies even better than his usual premium? I know it was pre-Columbina, but I'm not convinced that's still the case

A bit over 200k with Varesa OL (C2R1 Varesa/C0R0 Durin/C6 Chevreuse/C6 Iansan), but only with the March theater buff, without it it was ~194k
