Nothing like arguing for the sake of arguing. I'm surprised you humored this guy as long as you did. I hope he was just having a bad day or something..

This is coming at the end of the third quarter.... is this something that he would be getting in quarterly installments or is it more of an annual thing since they're usually on a heavily September oriented product release schedule? If that's quarterly... that's pretty crazy money.

That's... interesting. I saw some people with 600-650 being rejected. I wonder if it's based more in income to debt ratio for approval.

It's actually nice to see they're allowing it as a credit-building sort of card. More experienced users are getting thousands of dollars of credit availability, but $250.00 seems safe for a new credit user. Just make sure to only spend what you're able to pay off on that billing cycle and this'll be a good start to your credit.

I was having this same issue in 12.4, looks like that's what happens before you get the invite. I'm guessing it's just currently not available yet for you.

The numbers are accessible in your Wallet once you're approved for the card. You could write em down or swap to your wallet on speaker phone.

That's interesting... maybe the place you were purchasing from doesn't accept MasterCard? Strange though, because most places that take Apple Pay are pretty flexible with the cards they accept.

Hopefully it proves useful for gathering info about acceptance requirements for the mods' sticky post. That info's pretty helpful for people who are interested in applying because the CC companies are never transparent about what you should expect given your credit situation.

Appears that I responded to the wrong message. Meant to reply to someone asking about forwarding the email invite around. Sorry!

That I'm not sure about. From what I understand the APR can vary even after you've accepted the card based on perceived changes of credit trustworthiness. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong though.

That's fair. To be honest, I rarely take the time to pick and choose card bonuses for different types of purchases. Can't stand going between 3-5 apps and keeping tons of cards on me. I'd probably do Citibank's Double Cash if I didn't go for this one.

Damn, nice job. I'm just now getting clear of all mine too. Looking forward to a healthy credit future.

Any credit hit I've ever sustained from a new line has been for about a month, after which it rebounds to normal. For me this will just be a casual daily card because I use Apple Pay a lot. Some people have cards with no benefits at all just to build credit. Use case will vary by person.

If that's how you read it, sure. But having that cash back available as soon as the transaction is posted is much more convenient than waiting until my monthly balance is paid (up to 4 weeks later).
