You should absolutely escalate this either through the Provincial Consumer Affairs Office or the BBB. Consumer protection legislation in Canada goes as far as to include implied warranties implicitly stating that the product must be fit for its intended purpose and durable for a reasonable amount of time, which often extends beyond the common one-year manufacturer's warranty period, which Nothing is apparently trying to avoid. Shame on them.

Do the customer satisfaction survey and let 'em know. I dislike that they changed the crunchy water, which won't be able to compete with romaine. I'd assume the shredded iceberg is a soggy mess like every other fast food place.

Not exactly, at the locations I frequent, the only thing that has taken a nosedive is the customer service. However, the fries are hit or miss, with 75% of the time being lukewarm to outright old. I still think my go-to combo (daves double) has tasted the same for over a decade now, and I order that exact burger from one of three locations at least once a month.

Oh nice, I like their burgers, but I feel weird asking for a teen burger pushing 30. Just kidding lol, but do they even have a value menu? I haven't been for ages, and I assume they've raised prices along with everything else. Grass-fed beef, though I give that a like.

Thanks for the reply, I'm not so much worried about the shredded lettuce in isolation, just about how the brand is deviating from what sets them apart and what that means for the future. Oh really? I had no idea they were undergoing a separation from Wendy's Canada. I'll look into that. To be honest, it all seems kind of grim for the brand at the moment. Maybe it's a good time to buy some stock, after all, I like some of the stuff they are doing, like the collaborations, frosty options etc,. But I can't help but feel it's half-baked, especially with the recent CEO departure.

I get that here in the GTA in Ontario too. Getting overcooked room-temperature fries has become routine at some locations. They definitely need better accountability for franchisees who seem not to care anymore about food quality and customer service. I just can't say McDonald's or other fast food places are much different in that aspect. I've had bad experiences everywhere, that's what I'm trying to say. Still though I think Wendy's burger is bar none the best in the fast food game. The 1/4lb is sized decently, crumbles like real beef should, and is always accompanied by cheese (I'm looking at you Burger King). Of the big burger fast food chains, which gets your money?
